(A/N this chapter is hot garbage, but shhhhh. I just needed to round it off with random dialogue for the next part. So just go with it).

(Alastor's POV)

As we settle into the living room, I lean back against the sofa, feeling a sense of relaxation wash over me. Vox sits across from me, a playful glint in his eye as he begins the conversation. "You know, Alastor, I was thinking about our broadcast earlier" he says, a mischievous smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I reckon we make a pretty good team". I chuckle, nodding in agreement. "Indeed, Vox. It seems our dynamic on air is quite entertaining, if I do say so myself". He grins, leaning forward slightly. "And here I thought you'd be all business, Mr. Radio Demon. But you surprised me with your sense of humour". I raise an eyebrow, feigning offense. "Why, I'll have you know that demons can be quite adept at humor when the occasion calls for it". He laughs, shaking his head. "Fair enough, fair enough. So, what do you say we make this a regular thing? The Alastor and Vox show, broadcasting live from Hell". I consider his proposal for a moment, the idea of hosting a regular broadcast with Vox intriguing me. "It's certainly an intriguing proposition, Vox. I'll have to think it over". He nods, a playful twinkle in his eye. "Take your time, Al. But just remember, I'm the one bringing the charm and charisma to the airwaves". I chuckle, shaking my head. "We'll see about that, Vox. We'll see". As we continue to banter back and forth, I can't help but feel grateful for moments like these – moments of laughter and camaraderie in the midst of the chaos of Hell.

After a lively evening filled with laughter and conversation, Vox and I finally decide to call it a night. We bid each other goodnight and head off to our respective rooms, both feeling the weariness of the day beginning to settle in. As I enter my room, I take a moment to appreciate the quiet solitude it offers. The soft glow of the dim lights casts a warm ambiance, and I find myself feeling grateful for the comfort it provides amidst the tumult of Hell. With a contented sigh, I make my way to the bed and settle in, allowing the weight of the day to lift from my shoulders as I drift off into a peaceful slumber. Tomorrow is sure to bring its own challenges and adventures, but for now, I am grateful for the simple pleasure of rest and relaxation.

I wake up to the gentle rays of sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a soft glow in the room. Stretching my limbs, I rise from the bed and glance at the clock to check the time "Good morning" I greet Vox as I head towards the kitchen, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air. "Did you sleep well?". Vox nods, pouring a cup of coffee for me. "Yeah, I feel refreshed. How about you?". I smile, taking a sip of the hot beverage. "I slept like a log. Thanks for the coffee".  We exchange a few more pleasantries as we prepare breakfast together, the familiar routine of cooking and sharing a meal bringing a sense of comfort and camaraderie to the morning.

I settle onto the sofa, Vox beside me, and he starts the conversation. "So, Al, how did you meet Rosie?" he asks, curiosity shining in his eyes. "She seems like such a nice woman". I lean back, recalling the memory fondly. "Oh, Rosie? We go way back" I begin, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "I met her when I was relatively new to Hell. I was supposed to be attending an overlord meeting, but I got lost. That's when I bumped into her".
His interest piques as I continue. "She asked if I was lost, and when I confirmed it, she told me how adorable I was" I say with a chuckle, remembering her playful demeanor. "Then, without missing a beat, she linked arms with me and said she'd take me to the meeting".  His eyebrows shoot up in surprise. "She's definitely confident" he comments, a hint of admiration in his tone. I chuckle at his observation. "Oh, yes, charming indeed," I reply with a nod. "I was quite surprised to learn just how powerful she is". I explain, reflecting on Rosie's dual nature. "Yet, despite her power, she's one of the kindest souls I've met in Hell. Truly, she has a heart of gold".

Vox turned to me with a curious expression. "So, when do you think I'll be an overlord?", I chuckled, feeling optimistic. "Oh, soon enough, at this rate! You're making great progress". He seemed unsure. "You really think so? I mean, I'm still getting used to all of this". "Absolutely!" I reassured him. "You're a natural. Just give it some time, and you'll be ruling over your own domain in no time". He looked thoughtful. "Well, if you say so. I'll trust your judgment on this". "Trust me, Vox" I grinned. "You've got what it takes. Plus, you've got me as your mentor".  He chuckled softly. "Haha, yeah, I suppose that helps. Thanks, Al".
Internally, I couldn't help but smile at the nickname. I couldn't quite recall when he started calling me 'Al' but I liked it. It felt like a sign of our growing friendship, a bond forged amidst the chaos of Hell. "No problem, Vox" I replied warmly. "We make a great team, don't we?". He nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, we do. Let's keep conquering hell together, Al".

"Hey Vox" I piped up, shifting the conversation's focus, "tomorrow you can help me with a special broadcast, it's the extermination. I always do one when that happens". His brow furrowed in confusion. "Extermination? What's that?". I paused, realizing he had never experienced one. "Right, sorry, forgot you're new to this. It's when heaven sends down exterminator angels to thin out the population of sinners here in hell. They do it every year". His eyes widen in shock, "sorry, did you just say they come and kill us?", his voice strained. "Yes, dear" I confirmed with a nod, noting Vox's evident concern. "Angels come down from heaven, swooping in to eliminate sinners like us". His eyes widened in disbelief. "Heaven sends angels to kill us?, Angel, that seems a bit backwards".

I shrugged, trying to downplay the severity of it. "Yeah, but I tend not to worry much. It's not something overlords typically stress about. The only downside is that it does impact the number of souls we own, with so many people meeting their demise". Vox's expression remained troubled, but he seemed to accept the explanation for now. "I see. It's still a lot to take in". I patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Just stay close, and we'll manage just fine". Vox chuckled nervously. "But I'm not an overlord yet. Should I be worried?". Don't worry" I reassured him with a playful grin. "You've got me to look after you, I'll make sure you're safe and sound". Vox looked at me, concern evident in his eyes. "Do we need to go somewhere safe?". I paused, considering his question. "No need," I replied, shaking my head. "We'll just head to the studio, do the broadcast as usual, have a drink of whisky to celebrate another year of carnage. My shadows will keep watch outside, and they've never let me down before". He nodded, seeming to relax a bit at my assurance. "Alright, if you say so. I'll trust your judgment on this".

We spend the day casually, chatting, and relaxing until evening rolls around. As the sun begins to set, I suggest we have dinner. Vox agrees, and we head to the kitchen to prepare a meal together. Cooking with him is always a pleasant experience, filled with laughter and good conversation. After we finish cooking, we set the table and sit down to enjoy our meal together, savoring each bite and continuing our conversation from earlier in the day. After dinner, feeling satisfied and content, we clean up the kitchen and then retire to our respective rooms. The anticipation of the extermination day weighs on our minds, but we try to push those thoughts aside as we prepare for bed. We exchange goodnight wishes before settling in, hoping to get some rest before the challenging day ahead. Despite the looming event, there's a sense of comfort in knowing we're facing it together and I always enjoy the carnage of extermination day.
