(Vox's POV)As the months pass, Valentino and I continue to build our empire, our partnership growing stronger with each passing day. With the addition of Velvette to our team, our trio becomes known as the 3 Vs, a formidable force in the world of fashion and social media. Velvette, with her infectious energy and keen eye for style, brings a fresh perspective to our endeavors, injecting new life into our projects and pushing us to reach greater heights. Together, we navigate the ever-changing landscape of our industry, forging connections, and leaving our mark on the world. But despite our success, I find myself unable to shake the memories of my fallout with Alastor.
His absence weighs heavily on my mind, a constant reminder of the love I've lost and the pain that still lingers. I obsess over our past, replaying our conversations and reliving our moments together, searching for answers that seem forever out of reach. In the midst of our triumphs, I can't help but wonder what could have been if things had turned out differently. Would Alastor still be by my side, sharing in our victories and cheering me on? Or was our parting inevitable, destined to leave me haunted by what might have been? As I navigate the complexities of my emotions, I find solace in the camaraderie of my newfound family, the bond we share serving as a beacon of hope in the darkness. Together, we press forward, determined to carve out our own path in a world filled with uncertainty, knowing that no matter what challenges lie ahead, we will face them together, as the 3 Vs.
As I sit in my office surrounded by monitors, each displaying a feed from the cameras scattered throughout the pentagram, I can't help but feel a pang of frustration. Every screen is focused on Alastor, the one person who consistently eludes my watchful gaze. Sipping my coffee, I watch him carefully, studying his every move, his every gesture. But no matter how closely I observe, I can never capture a clear image of him. Ever since our falling out, he's been using his powers to evade my surveillance, glitching the cameras and distorting the feed.
It's maddening, this constant game of cat and mouse, this battle of wills between us. But even as I curse his evasiveness, I can't help but feel a twinge of admiration for his cunning. He's always been a master of deception, a trickster with a knack for staying one step ahead. As I continue to watch him, my mind drifts back to our altercation, to the words left unsaid and the wounds left unhealed. What could have been, if only things had played out differently? The question gnaws at me, a persistent ache in my heart as I grapple with the aftermath of our rift. But amidst the turmoil, amidst the uncertainty of our future, one thing remains clear: no matter how much he tries to avoid me, no matter how many obstacles he puts in my path, I will never stop watching, never stop hoping for a glimpse of the man I once called friend.
As Velvette enters my office, her presence accompanied by an aura of sass and confidence, she wastes no time in making her opinion known. "Seriously, Vox?" she scoffs, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Don't you have actual work to do? Or are you planning on spending the entire day obsessing over Alastor?". I turn to face her, a wry smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Oh, Velvette" I reply, matching her tone with a hint of amusement. "You know me too well. But who needs work when you've got a mystery to unravel?". She rolls her eyes, but there's a glimmer of amusement in her gaze. "Right, because spying on the radio demon is definitely the most productive use of your time" I chuckle, leaning back in my chair and gesturing to the monitors around us. "Hey, someone's gotta keep an eye on him. And since he's decided to play hard to get, it looks like that someone is me".
Velvette shakes her head, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "Well, don't let me interrupt your little surveillance operation" she quips, turning to leave. "Just try not to let it consume your entire existence, okay? We've got a business to run and remember we have that meeting with Val later". "Got it" I reply, nodding in acknowledgment. "I'll be there". With Velvette's reminder ringing in my ears, I turn my attention back to the screens before me, my mind already shifting gears to focus on the upcoming meeting with Val.
