[Alhaitham didn't even know the reason to get jealous of. It was him nonetheless. But why does Kaveh's closeness to it irks him so.]

Alhaitham's brows twitched. His nose flaring in a huff as he followed his husband's frame.

Teal eyes with orange rims glared at the blonde figure.

Specifically on that thing his carrying in his arms.

A thing he spites more than his Azar now that the old croon is six feet under.

He should've been happy about it but he just can't. And he doesn't want to be deemed childish, especially if he's getting upset over a Plushie.

You read that right. The Acting Grand Sage of Sumeru, hero and savior of the great Dendro Archon and the nightmare of every Academia students with thesis proposal is upset over a Plushie.

Well not just any plushie silly, he's not a monster. It was an adorable small sleep cuddle inducing thing that mirrored the exact look on his face on a normal daily basis.

Yes, it was a plushie of him that Kaveh carries around and it made him jealous. SO WHAT?!

Just because it has his face doesn't mean that it's him!

And yet, he can't just tell his husband to abandon that thing. Not especially since Kaveh is the one that made that.

-

A few weeks ago Kaveh was layed off of his job for he had finished already all of his commissions. And as we all know, a jobless Kaveh is a fidgeting Kaveh.

And so, in finding things to tinker his mind away aside from the occasional giving all of his time and attention to his pouty, sulky, attention seeking husband Kaveh found himself a cute pass time to feed off his ADHD.

And decided to try the art of doll making.

Well not really doll making like carving dolls out of porcelain and glass, that'd be too easy to the architect. Instead he decided to learn how to sew himself a doll.

And like any man he loved he decided to make the doll an adorable small version of his husband.

Spending moments by his husband's side as he sew away to his hyper focused world.

He was changing colors of that fluffy fabric. He went from silver, to black to teal and then he went to making something with green. When he was done he ecstatically showed the small being of himself in the hands of his lover.

An Alhaitham Plushie.

One that Kaveh made in one try. SUCCESSFULLY!

What can this guy not do?

Leave Alhaitham. Of course he can't do that.

That small being is now clutched in the arms of his beloved, every. goddamn. day.

No, the grand sage is not at all sulking. Not really no.

Not when Kaveh brought the toy with him to one of his expedition, when Kaveh brought the toy to his talks with the client. And where was Alhaitham in all this? Rotting away in his office of course.

But he's not really sulking. Oh no.

"Veh. It's my turn." The sound of book thumping shut as the grand sage followed his husband's form following him around like a lost puppy made the blonde giggle. He gently placed the toy on the couch as he spread open his arms to welcome his husband in his arms. Peppering his face in kisses.

"Haiyi~ Glad that you're now not occupied with your book!"

The couple plop down the couch with Alhaitham scooping Kaveh in to his lap and the two bathe in each other's heartbeat as the only sound in the couch is each other's breathe that the two has in a synchronised rythm.

"How has your day been, love?" Kaveh finally broke the comfortable silence by starting to talk to his lover, asking about his day as his pearly white hands that created wonders massages Alhaitham's temples along with his brows.

"It was good. Lots of students made a mess today."

"In your office?"

"No. In the library. They were grovelling for approval the first sight of me." The grand sage sighed exhaustedly as his face grimaced to a frown. "I hadn't even stepped a foot to my office yet but I already want to leave."

The blonde could only chuckle at his husband's complain. Alhaitham rarely complains, it's usually him who do the talking. But when the younger male does open his mouth to speak, Kaveh found it most enjoyable to listen as he snuggles with the young man.

He calls it 'The calm before the storm.'

A moment of tranquil before they either start arguing or having his husband take him at any place in the house.

"You were free for the past few days." Changing topics eventually, Alhaitham's hands made its way to wrap themselves back at Kaveh's waist as he bury his face on the blonde's neck. "Up to something again?"

"Hmm." Kaveh hummed in response and proceeded to trace his husband's face with his eyes. Slowly, he leaned in and gave him a kiss.

One that didn't last long as the blonde left the younger man's lap to walk away.

"Which reminds me. I have a surprise for you~" Then he disappeared in the direction of their shared bedroom.

The grip Alhaitham had on the couch's armrest tightened as he abruptly stood up to chase his husband and the surprise waiting for him. The playful way Kaveh expressed the surprise was like a siren beckoning for the sailor to dip his head in the water.

And like a sailor, Alhaitham did.

But what greeted Alhaitham inside the room was not something that can entice his thirst but rather, a happy Kaveh holding in his arms a small cuddle enducing doll the same size as the small being that mirror his face on the couch.

"Ta-da!" A small Kaveh plushie mirroring the bright smile on his face came to Alhaitham's view. His teal hues glance at the doll and then Kaveh and then the plushie again before gently grabbing the soft figure out of his husband's grasp. "I made it for when I'm out in the desert. So, that you won't feel lonely."

His touch was gentle, as if the Plushie itself was his husband. He walked back towards the couch in the living room and placed that plushie beside a blob of silver and black.

"Now, you have your own Kaveh. I'll take mine back." He points an accusing finger to the plushie that Kaveh has been carrying around and ran back to the room to bathe himself with Kaveh's presence.

-

The grand sage's office is crammed with paper as usual.

Yet amidst the sea of papers, the the couch in the office is very clean, especially since a blonde plushie sat unmoving and yet obviously pampered.

Alhaitham's assistant looked at the plushie resembling the renowned architect and known to be the new grand sage's spouse. He let out a sigh.

"Is Mr. Kaveh still not back from the desert grand sage?"

Alhaitham's eyes fell to the plushie, one that everyone whose everyone knows he carries around if the light of Ksharewhar is out on his expeditions.

"He'll be back tonight."

His assistant could only let out a sigh.

'I wanna get married too!' A bitter taste left his tongue as he left the grand sage alone in his office.
