[Panah as Alhaitham's secretary has his own problems to deal with, unexpectedly Kaveh was the solution all along]

Alhaitham has always been a capable man, and Panah as his secretary is nothing but proud of his boss. However, every capable man has its own downside, and for Alhaitham the problem lies with his hyperfixation problems.

Whenever something caught the man's interest, it will be his focus of attention for a long time before he either understood it, got tired of it, fiddled it to his liking.

This hyperfixation of his caused him to majority of the time ignore all his responsibilities except the one he caught interest with. His job and workloads would piled up and the man would have to do a constant rescheduling with his meetings and outings.

This problem has been like this ever since the man was a scribe to even now that he's promoted to grand sage. And as his assistant, Panah is usually the one to clean up the mess caused by his boss' hyperfixations.

Like right now, Alhaitham found an interesting children's toy at the bazaar, a cube with nine different smaller box in six different color called a color cube.

Alhaitham's was immediately fascinated and has now been fiddling with the toy for nearly three days now. He figured out how to solved the puzzle by a day, on the second day he was trying out different patterns of moving that would create a difference in solving the color cube. And now, the third day he is already on the phase of dismantling it to reassemble it again.

Panah, thus far has to reschedule three separate meetings this past few days, two survey for the thesis of the students of the academia, and even a meeting with Lord Kusanali has been moved.

He feared that if this continue on, he would have to go back here on his days off, and he can't have that.

His plans for the weekend which includes sleeping and eating, and nothing else will be in trouble.

But alas, what can he do?

Once Alhaitham is in, he's in deep. And so Panah would just have to wait for the fixation to die down.

On the fourth day of the experiment with the color cube which includes making other sizes that can be also constitute as a puzzle, the door to the grand scribe's office with a loud bang. The sound causing Panah to jolt in place but didn't even affect Alhaitham's focus on the puzzle at hand.

"I'm back." The tired of voice of the light of Ksharewar is what made Alhaitham's hand that's fiddling the toy paused. His head looking up to the blonde man looking disheveled, hair a mess and an obvious bag under his eyes. You can see a few bandage wrapping from the exposed skin.

The usual luster and sunny Architect known to be one of the most desirable man in Sumeru reduced to an exhausted lump as he walked over to Alhaitham and slump down lifeless on the man's lap.

"Missed me?" Kaveh asked, trying to be a bit more cheerful despite the obvious exhaustion his entirety exudes.

"Mn." Alhaitham nod, the color cube placed on the table with a clicking sound as his hand immediately wrapped around the blonde's thin waist. "Welcome back."

Panah watched like a hawk, the way that color cube was ignored like some side chic disposed of when the main character arrived to change the cold man's heart.

Wow, he feels like watching a soap opera drama.

"I'm gonna die!" The grand sage's husband, not a secret to anyone in Sumeru since Alhaitham likes to brag that alot was complaining like a baby in the grand sage's arms.  "There was a storm on the desert too, I nearly saw my father for a second there."

Alhaitham continuea to listen to Kaveh's rant as his left arms wrapped them selves on Kaveh's frame, hand gently patting the man while his right hand grabbed a quill and started checking the pile on untouched thesis in front of him.

Kaveh's voice slowly died down and not long his breath stabled and his head nuzzled on his husband's neck.

While Alhaitham continues to finish his work with his right hand, his other hand was gently removing the pins on Kaveh's hair, he placed the red pins on the table before continuing to undo the braids on the man's hair.

When he was done, he gently placed the quill down before carrying the blonde to the back room of the office.

The grand sage's office has a back room with a slightly bigger size than the front room consisting of living necessity such as a small living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a small closet, and a kitchenette.

This room is prepared when Alhaitham became the grand sage, this was beforehand a room where Azar hides those very important books that he was too greedy to share to the public library, but now that Alhaitham prefers to be lazy, a room and a living room was prepared there instead.

Panah didn't know what was going on inside but he heard the tub water running and sounds of shuffling was heard. His eyes feel on the forgotten color cube and felt a bit complicated in his heart.

'You were nothing more than an entertainment but you didn't win his heart huh.' Panah thought. He really feels like watching a soap opera drama now.

Inside the room, Alhaitham gently wiped his husband's body, frowning at the injury covered in bandage on the man's upper torso, where a long yet shallow wound is seen probably a slash.

He probably encountered an eremite on his own again.

After drying the man off, he cleaned the wound again and wrapping it in a new clean bandage. He leaned down and kissed the bandaged wound before heading to the closet to find a suitable pajama for Kaveh.

After settling the blonde on the bed, tucking him with a blanket, he kissed the blonde's forehead before turning the lights off and leaving the back room.

"Tell the sages, the meeting is tomorrow before lunch." Was Alhaitham's greeting as he sat back down to his seat and slowly the workload diminishing like a pile of smoke.

"We're not staying here for the weekend sir?" Panah askef cautiously, he still wanted his break.

"The grand sage office is close on weekends, Panah." Alhaitham replied with an 'obviously' in his tone. "I want to spend the weekend with Kaveh."

Panah's eyes fell on the color cube before hesitantly asking. "And the toy, sir?"

"I'm done with it, give it away."

Yep. Panah thought as he took the color cube away. He's definitely watching a soap opera drama on his day off this weekend.

Author's note:
CC( Color cube): Did you even loved me at all?
Alhaitham: You were nothing but a toy for me to play with, Kaveh is the only one in my heart.
CC: Give me a chance, I can be better.
Alhaitham: There's no one better than Kaveh for me. Kaveh alone can save my dying soul.

Panah: *eating popcorns* Sheesh~
