Four months had passed since the marriage, Ashwath and Ahalya were living their happily ever after with their parents. One day, Anand and Ananya decided to go on a small trip, leaving the couple alone at home. Sensing an opportunity, Ahalya planned a romantic candlelit dinner for Ashwath.
She decided to try her hand at a new dish she had learned from a YouTube tutorial. Adorned in a dark blue saree, she meticulously set the dining table, ensuring everything was perfect before Ashwath returned from work.
She eagerly rushed to the door upon hearing the sound of a vehicle approaching. As Ashwath stepped inside and began to remove his shoes, he was greeted by the sight of Ahalya standing there, adorned in a beautiful saree, patiently waiting for him.
"Wow, you look adorable. What's the occasion?" he asked.
"Come in first and freshen up quickly," she said, nudging him towards the room.
After he returned refreshed, he noticed the dining table. Suddenly, the lights dimmed, and Ahalya lit a candle. Her face glowed charmingly in the candlelight.
"Did you prepare dinner?" Ashwath asked.
"Yes, just for you," she replied, playfully tapping her eyelids and grinning.
"Hope I don't die," he laughed.
"You're always ready to ruin the mood," Ahalya said, feigning a laugh.
"Okay, sorry. I'll give it a fair review," he promised.
"Yeah, sure," she grinned.
As they both sat at the dining table, Ahalya served him. Taking a spoonful into his mouth, Ashwath exclaimed, "Wow, my talented wife! Where was this hidden talent?"
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she exclaimed, clapping with happiness evident in her face.
As they continued eating, Ahalya came up with a question, "Didn't you ever have a crush before?"
"Of course I did, but I never expressed it to her," he replied.
"You talked to her?" she asked curiously.
"Yeah, I was so nervous in the beginning. But one day I talked to her, it was just a normal conversation. But she was so cute, you know," he said, smiling.
"Hmm," she whispered, lost in thought.
"One day we went to dinner," he said.
"Huh, dinner?" Her eyes widened in shock.
"I guess you're overreacting now," he said, laughing.
"No, no, I'm fine, don't worry. I'm chill," she said, faking her expression.
"And after dinner, we went for a walk," he said.
"A walk? I've been telling you every day that we should go for a walk, and did you ever consider it?" Ahalya said, possessiveness evident on her face.
"Are you jealous?" Ashwath asked, chuckling.
"Jealous, me? Not a chance," she replied, a playful pout on her face.
"Just teasing. I never even approached her. She didn't even know I existed," he explained.
"It's okay, really. I'm totally fine with it," she said, though her playful tone hinted otherwise.
"Sure thing," he said, suppressing a grin.
"Yeah... okay, maybe I'm a little jealous. Happy now?" she admitted with a grin.
" Anyways what is this celebration for? "
He askedAhalya took his hands and placed it over her tummy and said " We are pregnant "
