Several mornings later, Scott is leaning against the Jeep, parked at the edge of the Hale property, as he watches Derek get marched out of the house in handcuffs by one of the Beacon County Sheriff's Department's deputies.

Derek looks over at Scott with a scowl that causes Scott to look down at the ground with an expression of mixed guilt and shame as Derek is pushed into the back of a deputy's cruiser.

A moment later, Scott notices Stiles and Alexa walking from out of the woods toward the cruiser, which is unattended now that the rest of the deputies are checking out the crime scene itself.

Scott's mouth gapes open in shock when he realizes what his friends are about to do, just as Stiles looks back at Scott. Scott immediately tries to get Stiles to stop by mouthing his response at him.

"No!" Scott mutters to Stiles.

Stiles ignores him and darts toward the passenger door to the cruiser dragging Alexa with him against her will and opens it so he can talk to Derek, causing Scott to groan in exasperation

"Oh, God..." Scott groans.

Scott turns away from them, unable to watch but not wanting to draw more attention to what Stiles is doing.

Meanwhile, Alexa sits in the drivers seat and Stiles sits in the passenger seat and turns around so they can face Derek and speak to him through the caged window between the backseat and the front seats of the cruiser.

"Okay, just so you know, I'm not afraid of you." Stiles says trying to act tough making Alexa roll her eyes.

Derek's head is tilted down, but his eyes move up to look at Stiles through his eyelashes with a scowl that immediately terrifies Stiles.

" ...Okay, maybe I am. Doesn't matter. I just wanna know something." Stiles starts as he shifts nervously in his seat.

"The girl you killed? She was a Werewolf." Stiles continues making Alexa look at him in disbelief.

Derek continues to scowl blankly and silently at Stiles, who keeps talking.

"She was a different kind, wasn't she? I mean, she could turn herself into an actual wolf, and I know Scott can't do that. Is that why you killed her?" Stiles asks the older werewolf.

Derek finally lifts his head to speak, but his tone of voice is understandably irritable due to the current situation.

"Why are you so worried about me, when it's your friend who's the problem?" Derek says bitterly. Alexa looks down in shame knowing her friends are who put him in this position.
