Alexa had parted ways with Stiles and Scott, to go and see Lydia and Alison, wanting to connect with them more. She honestly needed some girl friends, only ever hanging out with Scott and Stiles was amazing, but they can't relate to certain things like the girls can.
So Alexa was sat in the library next to Lydia listening to Alison talk about something her aunt encouraged her to research.
"The what of who?" Lydia asks with a bored expression.
"The Beast of Gevaudan. Listen-- "A quadruped wolf-like monster, prowling the Auvergne and south Dordogne areas of France during the year 1764 to 1767. La Bête killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that the King Louis XV sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it." Alison said reading from the book.
Alexa was concerned Alison was getting to close to the truth, she was worried for her friend, knowing about the supernatural can be dangerous, but Alison coming from a family of hunters made it hard to keep her in the dark.
"Boring." Lydia sighs loudly making Alexa poke her trying to get her to be nice.
" "Even the Church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan."" Alison continued reading.
"Still boring." Lydia yawns, Alexa rolls her eyes at the strawberry blonde.
""Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a subspecies of hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychid..."" the Argent girl keeps reading.
"Lyds!" Alexa scolds laughing a little and Lydia just responds with a shrug.
" "While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shapeshift into a man-eating monster."" Alison says nearing the end of the page.
"Any of this have anything to do with your family?" Lydia questions tiredly.
"This."It is believe that La Bête was finally trapped and killed by a renowned hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature." His name was Argent." Alison finishes.
"Your ancestors killed a big wolf. So what?" Lydia huffs.
"Not just a big wolf. Take a look at this picture. What does it look like to you?" Alison questions the girls. Lydia looks at it intensely as if she's seen it before.
"Lydia?" Alison says trying to get her attention.
"Lydia? What is it?" Alexa asks the girl. Lydia takes a deep breath before responding snidely.
