Forever and Always

Prologue

The day had started out just like any other day for the Reed-Mathews family. Anna Reed the mother of six gifted children was making breakfast with her youngest son Philip. Her eldest son had just returned home from practice and her three eldest daughters sat in the living room doing their own thing.

Alexa Reed the youngest of her family sat in her bedroom practicing spells her grandfather had given her when she heard her mother's scream. Next was Marie and Adam the eldest siblings, then Willow the third eldest.

Alexa now terrified pokes her out of her room to see what is happening. Alexa wished she had never done that, she saw her father standing over top of her older sister Tess, bloody knife in hand, plunging it into the 16-year-old girl. Alexa screams at the sight, grabbing the attention of her father.

Alexa decides to make a run for it, she sprints out of her bedroom and into the yard, when trying to exit the property she notices her father put up a boundary spell, preventing the kids from escaping his wrath. Alexa quickly pulled out her phone and called her Aunt Bella praying she could get to her before her father slaughtered her.

"Auntie Bella its so bad, he's killing everyone, I don't have much time before he finds me, everyone is dead its just me, I can feel their power." Alexa said in a panic.

When a Reed witch is killed their power is passed down to the next living Reed, once they're all dead its passed to the one who killed them.

"Oh god, Lexi honey run and hide don't let him find you I'm coming and I'll have reinforcements." Bella said panicking for her youngest niece.

"Hurry please, I don't have much time." Alexa says before hanging up and running towards the house.

Alexa snuck in through the back door, and ran to Philip's room. While walking to her brothers room she is met with the bodies of her family, tears streaming down her face as she quietly sobs for her family.

Alexa makes it into Philip's room without drawing attention to herself. She decides to hide under the bed, she whispers "invasique" turning herself invisible.

"Oh, Alexa where are you?" a menacing voice calls out. Alexa recognizes the voice as it belongs to her father Aaron Mathews.  Alexa is trying her best to stay as quiet as possible so she can remain hidden from her father.

Aaron Mathews never loved his daughter or any of his children for that matter, he was a power hungry man, they were a source of power for him nothing more, the kids and their mother all knew that, but they didn't know he'd kill them all just to gain their power. Aaron had slaughtered the whole family already, her brothers and sisters dying brutally just for power.

Alexa stays hidden under her brothers bed, hoping and praying she won't be found. She hears the footsteps of her father in the room next to the one she is hidden in. Alexa knows she's the only one left alive, she had heard the screams of everyone else and felt each of their powers flow into her when they took their last breath. Alexa's breathing becomes heavier as her father makes his way closer to where she is hidden.

Alexa made a choice then and there, she was going to avenge her family. Alexa mutters a spell making herself visible, and leaves the comfort of her hiding spot.

"In here." Alexa yells making her father slowly walk to the room she's in.

"Well, look who decided to make it easier for me to kill her." Aaron said with a wicked smile.

"You won't be killing me, I think you forget how this works." Alexa says standing with her head high making herself look brave.

"I didn't forget little one, I know exactly how this works." her father replies in a sadistic tone.

"Then you know I hold everyone's power right now, I can feel it, I hold the power of Six witches." Alexa says darkly.

"You're just a kid, you can't do anything with that power." Aaron says as he takes a few slow steps towards Alexa.

"Oh yeah?" Alexa taunts and she causes the ground to shake around them asserting her power.

Aaron now looks threatened by the young girl. He tries to throw her off guard by launching the knife at her aiming for her heart. Alexa catches the knife mid air with her telekinesis.

"Nice try, dad, dumb move though." Alexa says as her eyes darken. Flames now appear in her hands. Aaron now looks frightened. He tries to run, but Alexa had other plans for him. She set the entire room on fire with him in it. Watching as her father burns in the flames.

Alexa walks out of the house unscathed. She sees her aunt and grandfather outside the house. Before Alexa made her way to her last remaining relatives, she turned to face the house. To ensure her father wouldn't walk out alive, she uses every ounce of power she had in her small body and set the house ablaze with a single scream.

After the tragedy, she moved in with her Aunt Bella who lived in Beacon Hills, and she met the two people she loved most in the world, Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski.
