It had been an entire day since Alexa and Bella arrived at their family house in Chicago. Alexa was happy to see her grandfather, but she wished she was still home, knowing her friends needed her made her feel sick.

Alexa was doing some research on hybrids. She was trying to distract herself, but it was pointless, the girl couldn't find a single thing about hybrids. Alexa huffs in frustration.

"Why can't I find anything." Alexa sighs as her grandfather walks into her room.

"Bambi? Are you alright?" The man asks his granddaughter. Alexa turns to the man, smiling at the nickname. He had called her that for as long as she could remember, claiming she looks so innocent with her bright wide eyes.

"I'm fine pop pop, just trying to find something, anything on hybrids." Alexa says rubbing her temples.

"You won't find anything dear. As far as I'm aware you are the only one to exist." He says smiling to her.

"That's not exactly helpful." She says rolling her eyes playfully.

"Perhaps it's not, but don't let it get to you my sweet girl." Gideon says placing a loving hand on the teens shoulder.

"Can I ask you something pop pop?" Alexa asks the older man.

"Anything bambi." he says smiling warmly.

"Why did my dad go crazy?" Alexa asks with a frown.

"I'm not sure my dear, but what I do know is that his family was very power hungry, they were cold, and dark, I'd like to think that his parents pressured him so much it drove him mad, but I can't say for sure." Gideon tells the girl.

"Will I become like him?" Alexa asks sadly, afraid that her trauma will turn her into a monster.

"Oh no my sweet girl. You are far too pure to ever be like him, you care so deeply, and have such a big heart, you are so full of light and love, you could never possibly be like him." The older man says before pulling his granddaughter into a big hug.

"Thank you, I really needed to hear that." Alexa sniffles.

"Never forget it sweetheart." Gideon says smiling.

"I need you to do something for me pop pop." Alexa says turning to the man.

"What's that?" he asks raising his eyebrows at her.

"I need the strongest locater spell you have." Alexa says in response,

"When I was your age I wrote a very powerful locator spell, it's quite powerful, but dangerous. What do you need one for?" Gideon asks the young hybrid. Alexa's eyes widen as she realizes she never told anyone that Philip is alive.
