Alexa had just left class when she saw Alison in the hallway. The girls had only spoken to each other a few times but Alexa liked the girl, and wanted to get to know her.

"Hey Alison" Alexa greeted with a smile.

"Oh hey Alexa." Alison greeted back returning the smile.

"How are you?" Alexa asked the taller girl.

"I'm great things are good, you?" Alison replies.

"Not terrible I suppose." Alexa said shrugging.

"I haven't seen you since the party, are you okay now?"Alison asked the girl.

"Oh yeah, I'm much better now, thanks for checking on me." Alexa responded.

"Of course." Alison says

"Have you seen Scott?" Alison adds.

"Uh not yet I was just looking for him actually." Alexa answers.

"I wanted to tell him I'm coming to his game." Alison says excitedly.

"He'll love that, he's so excited." Alexa says gleefully.

"Look he's right there." Alison says pointing to Scott who's walking right towards them but not noticing.

"Hey Scotty." Alexa greets.

"Hey." Alison says.

Scott smiles widely as he greets the two.

"Hey guys." Scott says happily.

Allison takes note of the fact that he's holding his phone in his hand.

"Busy?" Alison asks the shaggy haired boy.

When Scott looks confused, she points at his phone, and he nervously stammers out a response.

"No, no, it's just, uh, my mom. She's nothing." Scott answers unaware of how that sounded. Alexa and Allison frown.

"You better rethink that Scotty boy, disrespect towards Mel will earn you a smack from me." Alexa says half kidding.

Scott, realizing he misspoke in a way that sounded really mean, tries to backpedal to make up for it, which comes out even more awkward.
