"What if the one thing that I missed was everything I need to pass the test?"

-Live to Rise, Soundgarden

It had been five minutes since Gwen had dropped Miles off back at his place, but the grin was still plastered on her face.

The blonde, still clad in the black version of her suit, flipped and somersaulted through the air as she swung through the city to return to her dorm. It still felt slightly dangerous for her to be enjoying herself like this in the daylight, but Gwen was throwing her carefulness to the wind after such an invigorating experience.

She angled her legs forward while swinging past a building, letting go of the web while letting momentum pull her through the air. Gwen let her body go limp, her eyes drifting shut as she reveled in the memory of Miles holding onto her as they sailed through the air...

It had been quite the bold step for Gwen to initiate that moment with him, and now she felt like she was reaping the rewards. Almost regretfully, she opened her eyes to come back to reality, slinging another web before arching her body as she pulled on the thread to keep moving forward. Gwen could barely remember the last time she'd been able to let go and enjoy this unique method of travel, but she was making up for lost time with this enjoyable swing back to her dorm.

Surely this was a moment that would last... certainly nothing could sour the good mood that Gwen was basking in...

She tucked her knees and rolled towards a building, her hands and feet softly latching onto the wall as she paused to soak in the scenery and catch her breath. Gwen's fingers tugged at the now-dark mask covering her face, pulling it off and letting her smile be exposed to the sky as she shut her eyes and reveled in the wind coursing over her face.

Someone had brought some joy back into her life... and Gwen felt like she was ready to lean into that joy once again.

As she kept her head tilted upwards towards the sky, a dull sound from far below reached Gwen's ears... her face grew puzzled as she quickly pulled her mask over her face and looked towards the roads of New York City. Gwen's eyes darted around, trying to lock onto this sound that continued to grow in pitch and loudness.

Soon, Gwen saw where it was coming from: a line of cop cars, their sirens blaring as they swerved around traffic towards the building that Gwen was perched on.

Terrific.

The excitement in Gwen's heart turned to annoyance and sarcasm quickly as she dove off the building, the wind buffeting her figure before she shot a web and began to make her escape.

She glanced over her shoulder to see if she was gaining ground; unfortunately, the opposite had happened. All of the city's traffic had now pulled over to create a wide-open lane for the swarms of police cruisers to drive through, and they were approaching faster and faster with every passing second.

"Alright, time to-" Gwen shot a web to her left, as if to head in that direction. "-Course correct!!" As the front row of police cars began turning left, Gwen twirled and let go of the web, firing another one to her right and swinging that way as tires squealed behind her.

Unfortunately, when Gwen looked back to see how her maneuver had panned out, there was still a large group of cops on her tail: even though the front row of police cruisers had been tricked and swerved to a halt, there were enough behind them that had seen Gwen's little trick and kept right. Panic flared in Gwen's nerves: it looked like every cop in the city was chasing her, how was she supposed to get away this time??
