LAST CHAPTER!!!
Keith and Pidge decide to stargaze and have a long awaited conversation.
Sorry if there's any mistakes <3

It had been a movement since the ball, and Keith was getting fed up with all the looks he received from the others whenever he talked with Pidge. Seriously! Why couldn't they stay out of his (their) love life!?
He knew he probably missed a great opportunity, but he had his reasons. Not that they were entitled to know them. They probably wouldn't get it. Nevertheless, they kept asking how and when he would finally confess.
What happened to waiting for the moment he deemed right? The red paladin knew what he was doing.
The old Keith would probably have snapped at them a long time ago, but not the new one. This version of the boy could control his anger better. They had questions, fair enough, but he could just ignore their insistence. End.
Since his dad died all of those years ago, this is the first time he realized he didn't feel the need to throw all his frustration at the world. He was mature and knew they were simply being curious - even if it was clearly pissing him off.
All thanks to a certain short genius girl Keith adored.
After their night watching bad Altean movies, Keith decided planning ahead would do no good. When it was time, he would know.
So he ignored them and simply enjoyed his daily hangout with Pidge. One afternoon, the girl asked him if he wanted to stargaze with her, tonight on the bridge. Without a second thought, he obviously accepted the invitation.

Some vargas later, once everyone had gone to sleep, Keith and Pidge were alone, like most nights. Sitting next to each other, barely any space between their bodies. The only difference that night was that the stars were spectators of their private time.
Without realizing it, a chuckle escaped the girl's mouth. "Mind sharing with me what's so funny?" Her gaze didn't tear away from the scenery in front of her.
"It's nothing, I'm just happy. I just realized that I can't even count on my fingers how much time has passed since I had a nightmare."She turned to look at him with a sweet smile and bumped his nose. "All thanks to you!"
As he looked at her, Keith felt a feeling he had become accustomed to, the one when his breath catches in his throat. The one where she makes it impossible for him to breathe properly. She often gave him that feeling, but it felt as magical every time.He was sure he'd always feel that way.
"Well, in that case, I should also thank you. Ever since we started this... arrangement, I've been feeling a lot better. Even if I tried my hardest, I don't think I could repay you for how much you helped me."
It was now Pidge's turn to have her voice stolen from her for a moment before she could reply. "Bullshit, you've done enough."
They both knew their faces were completely red at this point. Observing each other, the arms of Voltron were thankful they weren't the only one in that state. Even if the bridge didn't have a lot of lights on at this hour, if you combined the few it did have with the glow of the stars outside, you could see small details, such as two blushing paladins.
