Matt becomes suspicious of the nature of Keith and Pidge's relationship and decides to do something about it, dragging Shiro with him.
Keith admits things.

The last few days had been a lot for Matt. He found his sister (more accurately she found him) whom he wasn't aware she was even in space in the first place. He also learned that she was the green paladin of Voltron. How amazing was that! And scary... Plus, Shiro was alive!
Really, Matt was thriving!
Unfortunately, there was a problem, named Keith Kogane, the red paladin.
At first, he noticed how much the younger boy always seemed to be looking at his baby sister, but he didn't think much of it. Keith was probably only happy for his teammate.
Then, he saw how they were constantly standing next to each other, as if they were magnets. Seriously, they didn't need to exchange one word to communicate properly!
Not able to ignore it anymore, he also saw how they gazed at each other. Knowing his sister and seeing how Keith looked at other people, he knew their relationship wasn't as platonic as he first thought.
They couldn't be a couple, right? Yes, Katie was older than when he left earth, but in his eyes, she was still the little baby he held in his arms at the hospital sixteen years ago. The young girl he used to watch the stars with on the roof of their home.
He was also worried about what could happen. Dating in the middle of a war could have consequences. Could this interfere with Voltron's bond or something like that. He didn't understand it completely yet.
But seriously, Matt was just a worried older brother. He knew Shiro thought highly of Keith, but had also heard stories about him in his younger days. The boy could cause trouble, like his sister - since she apparently did a bunch of illegal things on earth.
When did she become so brave and independent?
A realization hit the rebel, they fitted well together and he hated to admit that.
But right now, it was really too much for him to stay silent. That guy really had some nerves, holding his sister in his lap while he was sitting next to him with everyone in the same room.
Matt knew he must have been staring but seriously, was he the only one in the dark about their relationship?
He managed to sneakily bring Shiro's attention to the two next to him and all the older boy did was make a somewhat confused expression while shrugging his shoulders.
So he wasn't the only one with questions after all ...
Matt was worried his sister would get mad at him if he asked too many questions. He didn't want them to have an argument so soon.
When the movie ended - he had no idea what happened in it- the arms of Voltron automatically left together without a word. Pidge didn't even wish him goodnight!
Guess his only option was to get into the overprotective mode with Keith (and bring Shiro with him).Pidge would be mad, but he had enough of watching.
****************************
The next morning, neither Pidge nor Keith showed up at breakfast. Shiro told him since they had a day off this was normal, but being observant to everything concerning his dearest sister, Matt didn't miss the unsure look on his friend's face.
