Bottle walked out the door with a tired expression etched across her face. I couldn't blame her even the slightest. Lightning woke us all up so early and even I thought that was full of shit. I still didn't know why we had to do this or what we had to do in general. It was all so confusing. I felt my head spin around and around even trying to contemplate what was going to happen in the future.

"Alright, we're all here, right?" Lightning took a head count and adjusted his coat and backpack.

"No shit, there are six of us and six people here," I rolled my eyes.

Lightning ignored my expression and hopped inside the car. He put his backpack in the trunk of his car and kept it open so we could put our bags inside too.

Lightning hopped into the front seat of the car.

"I call shotgun," Pen put a finger up and smiled.

"You always do that, don't you?" I chuckled with amusement.

"That's how I roll," Pen smiled and did a finger-gun at me before hopping into the front of the car.

Remote and Liy followed Pen into the car, taking the middle row of Lightning's SUV. That left Bottle and I to sit in the back. This was going to be awkward as hell.

I rolled my eyes and hopped inside the car casually. Bottle got in last and took the seat next to me.

Not wanting to seem awkward, I took my phone out and started scrolling on social media. Bottle did the same.

"You all strapped in?" Lightning asked with his hand on the back of his seat.

"Yup, we're all set," Remote smiled.

"Remote, shut up. You're making me jealous with your good night's sleep," Bottle laughed.

"Hey, not my fault someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Remote chuckled.

"I'll take that as a yes," Lightning smiled too.

Lightning turned the key to the ignition and started the car. As we started backing out of the parking lot, Pen started to ask questions.

"Lightning, how long will this drive be?" Pen asked with a confused expression.

"I don't know. That's the neat part," Lightning nervously laughed. "Pen, mind driving so I could look at the map?" Lightning asked.

"Ugh, fine," Pen rolled his eyes grudgingly.

Lightning pulled over to the side of the road. He and Pen swapped seats rather quickly. I did nothing but stare out the window and occasionally look over at the others to see what they were up to.

Pen was focused on the road while jamming out to his favorite tunes, much to Lightning's dismay.

"Hey, I own this car, so I should get to pick the song," Lightning rolled his eyes.

"You wish. I'm the driver shortie," Pen put a finger over Lightning's mouth.

"Who are you calling shortie?" Lightning raised an eyebrow.

"Who else?" Pen stared back.

"My mistake, I thought you were talking about Tree," Lightning chuckled.

"Since when was I part of this conversation?" I asked.

"Never. You're just short as hell," Lightning laughed at me.

"You're only a couple of inches taller, shut up," I folded my arms and slumped in my seat.

Oh shit... I knew this car ride would either be a blast or one of the worst things in existence.
