Welp... the others besides myself, Liy, and Bottle went inside the gaming convention to play games or what Pen calls "the shit." Knowing them, gaming would take a long time, so the three of us decided to go around the city and check out what it had to offer.
Although this city was about as big as New York, like Bottle said, it seemed at least two times bigger. The buildings towered over anything, and one of the buildings pierced through the clouds. I found it unfathomable that anybody could even build something like this. I zoned out and kept staring at the countless buildings.
"Remote..."
"REMOTE!" Liy gave me a light nudge.
"AAAA-"
"Quit your zoning out! There's a discount at almost all the stores at the nearby shopping center!" Liy showed me her phone with excitement beaming from her bright smile.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get a move on!" I smiled.
Bottle nodded and followed us throughout the city as we fast-walked. As we walked through the city, Liy and I both collectively noticed how tired Bottle was, so we eventually slowed down our pace so she could catch up. Plus, we felt bad that she got such bad sleep last night.
"Bottle, are you sure you're energized enough to keep going? We can stop by the coffee shop across the street if you need a refresher," I offered.
"I'm fine," Bottle nodded with a soft smile. I could tell it was fake.
"No, you need some energy. We're going,"
Without hesitation, I grabbed Bottle by the hand and dragged her across the street over to the coffee shop. Liy followed us in short succession.
The street wasn't the busiest, so we decided to jaywalk. Although it was illegal, when you've lived in the city for so long, you know that people always break the rules. Why? What would the police do? Arrest thousands of people on the daily? I didn't think so.
We made it to the coffee shop, and I dragged Bottle over to the front of the counter.
"Alright, what would you like?" I asked with a gleeful smile.
"Well, I wasn't planning on getting anything, but now that we're here, I'll just order my usual iced coffee," Bottle looked up with tired eyes.
"Alright. Are you okay enough to order, or would you like me to do it for you?"
"No, it's alright. I got it from here," Bottle smiled, giving the expression that she was thankful for my care.
Liy and I went to a nearby table and sat down.
"So, where are we planning to go today?" Liy asked with an excited grin.
"Eh, we don't have any current plans, but I was thinking we could hit up the shops. There are some cool clothing stores with some trending shoes. Those are always cool," I laughed.
"I can't argue with that reasoning," Liy shrugged.
"Yeah, I'm just cool like that."
"Whatever floats your boat, Remote," Liy rolled her eyes with sarcasm.
Not too long after, Bottle came back with her iced coffee. She also ordered some drinks for us.
"How the hell did you know I liked caramel frappuccinos?" Liy asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"I'm good at reading people. Plus, you and Pillow would always order those when we went out," Bottle smiled.
Bottle realized what she had just said.
