"Finally, you guys decided to show up!" I joked as I got off of Tree. Tree was slow to get up behind me, as I had just hit him like a steam train.
"I'm glad we're together again!" Liy chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm glad to- LIY WHAT HAPPENED? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" I asked in fright, as I saw the amount of blood still flowing from the side of her body.
"Hey, hey, I'm fine now, Pen. Chill!" Liy put her hands up and shrugged off the injury.
We were interrupted by the sounds of footsteps behind us. We all turned around at the speed of light since you could never be too careful after getting attacked by a monster.
"Did I miss anything?" Lightning asked as He walked out of the shadows with a water bottle in hand.
"Not really," Tree replied, deadpan.
Liy, Tree, and Lightning got going and started walking to go find Remote, who was still lost in the cave. Meanwhile, Bottle and I talked for a little bit before leaving as well.
"Pen, what happened to your eye?" Bottle asked, concerned.
"Let's just say it was a mishap in the fall after the whirlpool," I replied with a smile.
"Mishap?" I've never heard you use a word like that," Bottle rolled her eyes with a smile.
"What can I say? I'm fulla surprises!" I gave a wink.
"What are you two doing back there? We need to find the coolest member of the group here!" Liy smiled.
"The dick riding is crazy," I rolled my eyes and whispered to Bottle, earning myself an audible laugh.
"I'm already here, idiot!" I yelled out in front of me so Liy could hear.
"Pfft- You wish!" Liy laughed.
Bottle and I caught up to the rest and engaged in more conversation.
"Hey, maybe we'll find your friend, Bear too!" Liy mentioned.
"Probably not, I doubt he survived," I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be such a downer, dude," Tree crossed his arms.
"You don't actually think that, do you?" Tree asked.
"I don't... it's just that I hope that I'm wrong," I mentioned.
We walked for a little bit throughout the cave and stumbled upon a running body of water. As we got closer, we heard a creaking noise coming from the ceiling.
"Am I the only one who hears that?" Tree asked.
In the blink of an eye, something struck the ground with so much force that Tree jumped back from the impact. Looking back at what it was, it was a monster tentacle. All of us got visibly frightened and took a few quick steps back, preparing for the worst.
We didn't have to prepare, however, upon examining the tentacle like the brave man I was, I happened to notice that the tentacle was dead and that the thing wielding it was too. Upon getting closer, there were noticeable slash marks and stab wounds on the monster.
Another crash came from the ceiling. The monster's body fell from the roof of the cave. It hit the ground with a loud thud.
Remote stood on top of the monster as it fell through the ceiling, with a sharp rock in hand and a stalagmite in the other. It was the most badass entrance I had ever seen, even more so than all of the movies I had watched in my lifetime. Remote looked up and left the sharpened stone in the monster's back.
"That was badass," Tree adjusted his glasses and kept staring with a surprised expression.
"Are you guys alright? What happened?" Remote asked as she wiped monster blood off of her face.
