L A S Y A
After talking with Moksh and taking his mind off things, I decided to get ready for the temple.
Moksh has gone downstairs to make the initial arrangements for our visit so it was the correct time to change.
Gosh! I tell you, it takes Moksh more time than me to get ready.
Firstly he would wash his face with his expensive facewash, then do his skincare, wear his clothes, apply his cologne, set his hair and it would take me more than an hour to get ready.
Honestly, he stays more well-groomed and well-dressed than any female in the family, well, he smells good too.
My husband has a whole stack full of expensive perfumes, those divine-smelling colognes make him smell more delicious.
Shaking my head I walked towards the walk-in closet and contemplated what to wear, my eyes zeroed in on the off-white pair of Anarkali and I decided to wear it.
It was a beautiful georgette lakhnavi anarkali of off-white colour with a maroon dupatta, the piece was heavy with zari and sequin works.
Quickly stripping off my clothes, I got inside a bathrobe and did my makeup. Moisturizing my skin, I applied the minimum foundation and concealed my face.
With a thin stroke of eyeliner and nude lipstick along with my favourite blush, I was done with my neutral look.
Combining my hair, I decided to let my hair open and added a statement piece.Wearing my wedding chuda completely and all the other jewellery pieces, I applied the vermilion to my hair parting. Adjusted my nuptial chain on my chest and hid the other chain under the fabric of my clothes.
A sense of pride and warmth enveloped my heart when I wore it, a sense of belonging, it felt as if I belonged to him, just the way he belonged to me.
A smile grazed my lips when I saw my reflection in the mirror, I looked like a newly married bride. My eyes weren't dead, they shined like the stars.
My always pale cheeks were popping out with a natural red hue. My chapped lips looked glossy, and I looked lively, not a breathing corpse.
My heart raised in anticipation as I was dying to show Moksh my look.
Will he like it? Or was it exaggerating?
My trail of thoughts was cut short when I heard the door opening and Moksh's grumpy voice. "Everyone's waiting for us, and I am not even ready, I swear-", he stopped midway when he noticed me, a small package in his hand.
His eyes racked from my head to toe before they finally settled on my face. His eyes met mine and a shiver passed down my spine. I felt jittery and my palms turned sweaty. His lips parted slightly and then he bit his lips, reframing himself from saying anything.
