M O K S H
flashback~ (a night before the reception party)
Slowly and hesitantly I entered our bedroom, closing the door behind me without making a single noise I briskly walked on my tip toes towards the bed.
My fierce wife was sleeping soundly on the bed, her body on her right side as she had her henna-clad hands stretched out of the bed as she had kept them to dry overnight.
With calculative steps, I approached the bed and tried my best to not cause a single noise.
All I know is, that my wife is a light sleeper and I do not want to wake her up and call the doom upon myself.
"You better watch out, you better not make a noise, you better not die, because you promised your mother that she'll soon play with her grandchild", I mentally chanted as I tip-toed towards the bed.
Once I reached near her, a smile grazed my lips when I noticed her relaxed features. She looked no less than an angel when she was sleeping but when she's awake, she's no less than an angry devil in disguise.
Shaking my head, I mentally chuckled and kneeled before her. Taking a deep breath, I fished out the thread and marker from my pocket.
I licked my lips and took my bottom lip between my teeth as I leaned towards my wife's direction. Taking the thread between my finger I wrapped it around her ring finger. My brows thinned in utmost concentration as I tried my best to not even slightly touch her accidentally.
Sweat appeared on my forehead as I wrapped the thread around her finger casually and slowly twirled the thread around to get the perfect measurements.
My eyes burned with the concentration and my heart raced like crazy with the fear of getting caught. My eyes travelled to her sleeping face and I gulped before shifting them to her finger.
Still holding onto the thread with one hand, I took the marker and opened the cap with my teeth. I gulped hard as I marked her ring size on the thread. A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I exhaled deeply and with a victorious grin stood up on my feet.
Wahh Moksh, tu toh khatron ka Khiladi nikala, sherni ke muh mein haath daal diya aur usko bhanak bhi nhi lagi, Rohit Shetty ko naye season ke liye bolna padega!!
[Translation: Wow Moksh, you turned out to be a dangerous player, you put your hand in the lioness's mouth and you didn't even realize it, Rohit Shetty should consider you for the next season!!]
With the measurements of my wife, I patted my shoulders at my bravery and walked out of the scene before I got caught. I rushed out and called the jeweller, ordering him to make the ring as soon as possible.
