"Who the hell are you?" Bakugo growled out to the villain as his palms crackled with explosions.
You turned toward the others in the restaurant, who had begun to panic at the intrusion of a villain, as Bakugo stepped up to face the criminal.
"Everyone out!" you shouted, beckoning them toward the exit. "Take the stairs, not the elevator. It could get stuck. Go!"
As the rest of the bystanders in the restaurant scrambled to the stairwell, including the staff, you turned back to face the villain, standing beside Bakugo.
"Me?" the villain said, pressing a hand to his chest as if the two of you were supposed to know who he was. "Well, I didn't know we were taking a pause for introductions."
"That was rhetorical, asshole," Bakugo cursed as he raised his palm, explosion ready. However, you caught his wrist before he could do any damage.
"Don't..." you whispered. "Wait until those people are far enough down..."
"Villains don't tend to wait..." he said back in a hushed tone.
"Keep him talking..." you replied before averting your attention back to the villain. "If you're gonna be a villain, the least you could do is come up with an original outfit. The bird mask is a little out of date," you continued, distracting the criminal.
"Really?" the villain questioned. "It seemed to be all the rave when you got kidnapped."
"Shut the fuck up!" Bakugo spat, surging forward. However, he didn't get very far with you throwing yourself in front of him to prevent a fight breaking out before you wanted it to.
"Feisty~" the villain laughed. "Tomu wasn't lyin'."
'Tomu?' you thought while narrowing your eyes at the villain. 'Coincidence?'
Was the name "Tomu" short for Tomura Shigaraki, or did this villain just happen to have a comrade named Tomu while simultaneously impersonating one of Shigaraki's previous allies? Maybe this individual was a replacement for Overhaul.
"What's with the impersonation shit?" Bakugo asked gruffly.
"Why, Overhaul is my idol," the villain stated as he lowered himself onto the edge of the building. "I'm finishing what he couldn't."
"And that is?" you questioned, your strings slowly seeping from your fingers.
The villain lowered his head, eyes boring into yours, and you just knew he was smirking cruelly beneath that haunting mask as he said, "you."
Bakugo shoved you out of the way as the villain surged forward, using whatever flying ability it was that he had to get to the two of you faster.
Your back hit the ground, crunching the glass covered floor, but you recovered quick enough just in time to see Bakugo fly back into the restaurants bar, courtesy of the villain ramming into him.
A ginormous explosion erupted, causing the villain to shy away from your boyfriend, which gave you enough time to act.
You shot out your strings, wrapping them around the villain's neck, before jamming your knee into his back, causing him to collapse, legs folded underneath him.
Bakugo jumped over the bar counter he had been thrown across, spilt alcohol and pieces of tinted glass covering him.
"Two against one isn't fair, ya know," the villain said, letting out a manic giggle. "Good thing I came with heavy artillery."
