You woke up feeling exhausted, restless, and, when you peeled open your eyes, you were greeted by the morning sun peering through your bedroom window.

You rolled onto your side to grab your phone from your nightstand, but you froze halfway there when you spotted something resting atop the device.

You grabbed the envelope, which had your name scribbled on it, and a tore the flap open as you sat up.

You reached inside and pulled out a folded piece of paper, which, upon unfolding, revealed a handwritten letter.

'Dear [L/N],

I hope this reaches you safely. Try not to think about the fact that I may or may not have had to sneak through your window to leave it.

I just wanted to thank you for everything, especially for being my friend, but I'm leaving U.A.

The villains are after me. One For All, my quirk, the gift given to me by All Might, is what they want. Shigaraki and All For One want to steal it, and I can't be near anyone while they're after me. It's too dangerous. I can't have anyone else getting hurt or killed because of me.

I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly, but I couldn't waste any time. The villain's won't wait, so neither can I. Stay healthy and stay safe. Goodbye for now.

- Izuku Midoriya'

You slowly folded the paper back up and tucked in away in the envelope it came in, which you set back on your nightstand.

Who the hell is Izuku Midoriya?

"Oh, you're already awake."

You lifted your head and looked toward your bedroom door to find Aizawa peering into your room, already dressed for the day.

"School soon. Get dressed," he stated shortly, but you didn't have the strength to verbally respond or even nod. Instead, you found yourself looking back at the letter.

"[L/N]," Aizawa began, approaching you cautiously where he knelt down in front of you, "what's wrong?"

"'m fine," you mumbled, grabbing the envelope, which you held out to the man, "but who's Midoriya?"

Aizawa's brows furrowed in confusion, and he slowly took envelope from your frail hands before removing its contents.

His eyes skimmed the letter, growing wider with every word he read. After finishing, his lips curled up into a grimace, and he tossed both the letter and its envelope on the bed.

"[L/N]," the man started, taking your hands in his, which made you notice how much warmer he was than you, "do you really not remember who Midoriya is?"

You shook your head.

The name didn't ring a bell. You couldn't put a face to it. You couldn't tell him what this person meant to you because you didn't know who they were.

"Come on," Aizawa stated.

He grabbed your forearms, gently pulling you to your feet, before grabbing the forgotten letter and shoving it in his pocket.

"Where are we going?" you asked.

"A neurologist," he answered shortly.

You remained silent.
