Upon meeting the neurologist, you were put through a series of tests, which were just you staring at miniature poster boards and trying to name what was printed on them.
You couldn't name ten out of the twelve animals shown, and you even got mistook a llama for a giraffe. You claimed the number seven was the number six, and you couldn't correctly label any color.
"It seems your brain is deteriorating at a match faster rate now," the neurologist said at the conclusion of the exercises. "I heavily suggest hospitalization. If not, you should remain home at all times, no school or work, with a full time caregiver. You should not be left alone."
"So you want me to be babysat until I die?" you questioned, and the woman frowned, interlocking her hands atop the desk she sat behind.
"I know this is difficult," she began, "but I'm sure you know there's no medical treatments we can do to reverse or better this situation. All you can to is exercises similar to the ones we did today as you go on in order to keep your brain functioning as much as possible, but, yes, essentially, you will have to be supervised until the unfortunate date comes. It's dangerous for you to be left alone at this stage."
You released a tired sigh as Aizawa thanked the neurologist, standing her shake her hand. The two of you walked out after that, heading to the parking lot to leave.
"You should just hospitalize me," you said, and you could feel the man tense beside you. "It'll be easier."
"I'm not letting you spend your last days in the hospital," Aizawa countered, holding open one of the two front doors of the building for you.
"It'd be fitting," you said while stepping outside, the hero following closely behind. "Besides, you have a job to do. You can't stay home and babysit me."
"I can, and I will," he replied, opening the passenger side door of his car for you when the two of you arrived at the vehicle. "I'm not gonna be much help with a missing eye and a prosthetic leg, and I doubt there will be much teaching to do with Midoriya suddenly gone. I'll have Mic substitute the hero course for me while I'm gone. There's more heroes than me out there."
You opened your mouth, tempted to argue further. However, Aizawa continued before you could say anything.
"Do not argue with me," he stated sternly. "Get in the car."
You exhaled deeply before slipping into the passenger seat, and, once you were completely settled, Aizawa shut the door before getting into the car himself.
"Can Kat come over later?" you found yourself asking as Aizawa pulled out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
"As long as it's okay with his parents," Aizawa answered. "I'll call him when school gets out."
Satisfied with the man's response, you rested your head on the window and closed your eyes, allowing sleep to envelope you.
Part of you hoped you didn't wake up.
