ɴᴀʀʀᴀᴛᴏʀ's ᴘᴏᴠ
the group of new friends sits inside sergio's car, parked in front of l's house as they finish up their session. the blunt passes in rotation one last time, the window becoming clouded by the smoke, and everyone inside finds themselves on cloud 9. throughout the time they smoked, (y/n) and l were way too mushy-mushy for people that swear up and down they would never cross them typa boundaries.
as the blunt came to l, he would do this thing. he'd take a dramatic drag from it, letting the leafy air swirl in his lungs. then, as he blew the smoke out, he'd grab (y/n)'s face and instruct her to open her mouth, blowing the remaining air in.
and (y/n), not innocent at all, let him do it and enjoyed that. having her fun too by sticking her tongue out as if to lick his lips, just to lick her top one.
was it awkward considering there were others in the car?
absolutely, but they're all faded to care too much about it.
after the session, l buys food for everyone. the indecisive group couldn't come to an agreement on what they all should eat, so he just bought everything. he doesn't mind at all since it isn't really his money being used, and it's his treat since he got to smoke for da freeeee.
he orders 2 pizza, chipotle, and chick-fil-A.
while they wait for the food to arrive, they all remain inside the smokey car.
"you good, baby?" shawntae says to (y/n). (y/n) looks at her and smiles, using that as her answer. she may or may not have a tolerance towards weed. she's only smoked a total of 8 times, including this one. she started her junior year and only ever did it when a guy named chris, who was a senior she befriended, put her on as a reward for writing his papers.
shawntae looks at her brother and bust out laughing.
"she gone", sergio says.
"let her stay with you until it wears off", shawntae tells l. he nods in agreement and even suggests they all stay, but the siblings decline, stating they had somewhere to be after this. they do follow up by saying next time they will.
an additional 5 minutes pass before the food arrives. l goes out to get it, then splits it amongst the group. he stands by the open door where he got out. (y/n) exits out that same door. she takes his hand and off they go, waving their friends good by as the car drives off.
(y/n) points out the silence, and l tells her that his dad and brothers went out with their dad's girlfriend.
"and why did you go?", she asks.
he shrugs.
still holding hands, she pulls him close and stares into his eyes as she repeats her question. by this point, the pinkish-red tint darkens, and her eyelids hang low.
