Hey Guys! This is my first story, so please be nice. I will take constructive critisizim, but I WILL remove any mean and/or rude comments. Just wanted to get that out of the way. Ok! Hope Y'All enjoy!

((UPDATE: Okay guys, I am editing and updating this story. Now, that doesn't mean I'm gonna add any new chapters or anything, I'm just fixing the atrocious writing style that I had 2 years ago *shudders to self* and I'm changing the story line *slightly.* So! Please continue on, just be warned that you are reading a WIP :) enjoy!))

I was waiting: waiting for my boyfriend Jake to come to the front of the school to meet me. I looked down at my watch. "He should be here by now," I thought.  So, I started walking around, looking for Jake, when finally I turned that corner.  And there I found him and Carrie, my best friend, making out by the columns. I watched them for what seemed like a emotional eternity when finally Carrie pulled away.

"Jake.... we... we have to stop..." she muttered breathlessly.

"Why? No one is watching. It's just us babe..." he said,  his eyes focused on her.

I couldn't believe it. The guy I loved, the guy I would kill for, was kissing my BEST FRIEND and was not even concerned about me. Devastated, I stood there, tears streaming down my face as I whimpered softly.  Jake must have heard me, because he turned and saw me standing there, knowing that I had seen everything.

"Jess!” he said, startled.  “I-I.. Th-this isn't wha-"

"Save it,” I snapped. “I never want to see you again. We're through Jake."

I turned around, and ran as fast as I could to the girls bathroom and cried my eyes out. I couldn't believe it. Jake...

I graduated shortly after that, with a heavy heart. I wanted to spend my graduation with my best friend and boyfriend, but they weren't even thinking about me. They were already going out by the time I graduated.  Sad to say, I was a wreck. I had loved Jake with everything, and Carrie has been my best friend since 3rd grade. All those nights of studying, spending time at the mall, birthday parties, Christmas gifts! All wasted.

Well, after high school I’d wanted to move out of my house and into an apartment, then go to college, but, as I was learning, things change VERY quickly. Mom’s work needed her to move to Florida , something to do with "needing a supervisor with better leadership skills ," so I had to move with her, one of reasons being that I hadn't even started looking for an apartment, and the other reason being that I had never been to Florida but had always wanted to see the crystal clear water and the powdery white sand.  This was like a dream come true! So we booked the flight, and all of our possessions either got sold or sent as cheaply as possible and delivered to our new house. (all paid for by Mom's company. THANKS, MOM’S COMPANY!)

As we were sitting on the plane, preparing to take off, I looked out my window and said one last goodbye to the hometown of mine, and off we went. Whilst on the 3 hour flight,  Mom and I talked about all the cool things we could do and see in Florida and how excited we were (Mom being partially nervous about the new position) to be part of this new adventure.
