Episode 24: Subtext

3rd P.O.V.

Present time....

The scene open up to "Big Sky Lounge" as it can be seen caught on fire with Blackie trying to put out the flames. But sadly with no effects since the fire extinguisher is too small to put out the fire by itself. He immediately dodge the incoming flame covered cue sticks that almost hit his head.

Blackie: Montana's not gonna be happy.

Meanwhile, the spider brothers are busy dealing with a new villain covered in molten lava of some kind. As they struggle to even hurt the villain without burning themselves in the process. Scarlet spider and Spider-Man are thrown across the room, hitting against the pillar of the building structure.

Scarlet spider-Spider-Man: *groan*

The villain covered in lava grabs Scarlet spider by the leg then slamming him down on a pool table.

Scarlet spider: Oh, so this is why they tell you not to play with fire. Whoa!

Grabbing his leg once more, he spin him around for a moment before throwing him at the bar. Scarlet spider groan in pain as his suit can be seen partially damaged by the heat from the villain.

Scarlet spider: This is so not going well.

Suddenly he hears coughing as he looks in front of him to see MJ and Liz behind the bar of all places. The two girls noticed Scarlet spider as the shyly say hello in awkwardness.

Liz: H-Hey.

MJ: Hi.

Scarlet spider: Right. Because things weren't complicated enough. Whoa!

He was then pulled back to the fight.

Returning to the fight, Scarlet spider tries reasoning with the villain for the safety of the girls behind the bar.

Scarlet spider: Listen, uh, Molten Man, there are innocent girls behind the counter.

Molten Man: Like I'd fall for that old trick.

Behind the bar, Liz and MJ take a peek on what's going on as Liz has a look of concern in her eyes.

Flashback....

Before the night of the event, everything was going normal as usual. Liz and the other members of the play were practicing as usual in the theater.

Liz: O, is it all, uh, forgot? All school-days' innocence, childhood friendship? N-No, I-I mean, school-days' friendship, childhood innocence. And will you, um, rent our ancient love, uh, asunder?

MJ: You thief of love. What, have you come by night and stolen my love's heart?

However, Liz and MJ are struggling to convey their emotions into their lines which made Devereaux upset to hear as he stops them immediately.

Devereaux: Stop! Where is the passion? Hm? The pain? Ladies, your performance is completely devoid of emotional truth.

This made Liz and MJ disappointed to hear.

Devereaux: And why is my follow-spot not following my performers? Where is Mark Allan?

Liz look at the spotlight where Mark supposed to be and already has an idea, what he's doing right now as this made her worried.

Present time....

Back to the present time, while Scarlet spider is dealing with Molten Man, Spider-Man is helping put out the fire but is spreading too fast.
