Makoto's POV:
There was no way... Asia... After all gone through... Her body was here, lifeless... And Raynare took Asia's Sacred Gear...
Raynare: the Twilight Healing... It's finally mine~ with this power, I will stand as the supreme fallen angel!
Issei: there's no way that's gonna happen!
Issei rushed toward Asia but a lot of priests were blocking the way, but Issei didn't waste anytime and punch them away. Soon, Kiba and Koneko helped him to create a way and, without thinking too much, I ran with Issei toward Asia and Raynare snapped her fingers, liberating Asia in the process. Issei caught her and we both looked at her
Issei: Asia! Are you okay?! Answer me!
Asia weakly opened her eyes and looked at us with a little smile and Raynare walk up behind us, smirking from what she did
Raynare: I did this little plan in the back of my superiors, but unfortunately for you... You have to die because you're eyewitnesses
Raynare created a spear of light and Issei stayed down on his knees, angry and sad at the same time
Issei: you was my very first girlfriend... I wanted to take care of you... I've planned everything for our date... It was perfect!
Raynare: oh, really? Well, that's sweet from you. You was very easy to manipulate and all. And for our date... *serious/dissapointed face* it was the most boring date I had up until now
Raynare then burst into laugh, raised her spear in the air and had a mad face, like if she was a psychopath
Raynare: now DIE!!!
She threw her spear on us but in a quick motion, I used my dagger to deviate the spear. Raynare and I looked in the eyes, the tension could be felt
Raynare: you deviated my spear? Well done, I give you that... But don't think this will be enough
Makoto: how could you... After all this time... You was just playing a role?!
Raynare: you damn right I was! All in the goal to get rid of him and his stupid Sacred Gear! And it should have been a success! But somehow, you two managed to survive and it ruined everything! And let me guess! I bet this guy made the same boring date with this girl right here!
Makoto: enough!
Kiba: Hyôdo! Mizawa!
Makoto: Issei! Take Asia and run! Now!
Issei: but... What about you?
Makoto: *point my dagger toward Raynare* I'll deal with her...
Issei looked at me and lifted Asia before starting to run toward the exit. A lot of priests blocked the way, but Koneko and Kiba create a way for Issei. He thanks them and ask them to call us "Issei" and "Makoto" once they'll go back home. I smiled at Issei as I see him go and I turned my attention back to Raynare. Her only reaction was to chuckle
Raynare: you have a really good friend, you low-class devil
Makoto: I might be a low-class devil, but that won't stop me to kick your ass, Raynare!
Raynare: don't call me like that. You're not worthy to use this name!
Raynare threw another spear at me but I jumped back and landed a few steps away. Kiba and Koneko were fighting some priests and when they could, they came to help me to fend off Raynare. At some point, Kokeno tried to land a kick to Raynare but the latter catches Koneko's leg and spin a bit before throwing her back to the ground but I was there and caught Koneko in my arms, making me stepping back a bit. Koneko looked at me and I smiled
