Qibli nervously sat in his stone, kind of uncomfortable seat, getting quite sweaty, and that was something for a Sandwing.

All he could think about was the prey centre meeting during class break. He and all of his winglet (expect Winter, because, you know, he's Winter) gathered in a specific spot to eat and just hangout and chat.

Moon was especially fun to chat with. She knew all the right things to say at the right time and she could calm down quarrels that were starting to spiral up before a snap of a claw.

His heart thumped a little as he thought of the Nightwing, but he dismissed the feeling as just an excitement to see his friend. Besides, even if I DID love her, which I don't, I couldn't be with her. She has to be with Winter. Even if SHE didn't want to. That seems a little unfair, but Winter deep down seems to care for her. I'm not sure if she cares for him though...

He snapped back into the real world, where Webs was teaching about the great Scorching, which was quite boring if you asked him.

".... And that scavenger did a very terrible thing, so terrible that it angered the dragons. No one really knew what they did, because it was such a long time ago. But it must have been something really terrible... Anyways..." Webs said slowly, as if he wanted to make this as boring as possible.

Qibli let out a small sigh, slumping in his seat as Webs zoned on and on. He could tell everyone was as bored as he was, which was quite obvious, so even if someone didn't look at everyone the way he did, they could still tell.

However, the bell rung, signaling the history class was over. The class excitedly got out of their seats, but were stopped by Webs.

"Wait." He said. "Turtle, can you pass out one of these scrolls to each person?"

Turtle nodded, and passed out one leathered beautifully peserved scroll to each student in the cave.

"These have questions on our lesson today." Webs explained. "Take them for homework, and we can take them up tomorrow, when I have the Jade Winglet at the end of the day."

Qibli squinted at the questions. They were all pretty easy. He could get them done in maybe... Ten minutes? There were about thirty questions, but all you had to do was just put the answer on each underline beside each question. It would take some thinking however for a few.

He followed the rest of his winglet out the door as Webs called, "Don't forget!" After them.

Qibli caught up with them, seeing Kinkajou and Turtle chatting happily.

"Hey Moon." Qibli came beside her, smiling warmly. What are you doing, she will never like you. "Shut up." He whispered to himself.

"What?" Moon asked softly.

"Er- nothing!" Qibli said quickly. "Very, uh, hungry! Yep! So ever hungry."

"Me too." Moon said with a laugh that made his whole body feel light and airy. "I wonder what they'll have this time. Last time.. Was, well, chaotic."

"Ha! That seems putting it lightly!" He snickered, remembering the utter chaos when Clay dumped a bunch of prey in a small cave.

Moon gave him a small smile, as they reached the prey centre. This time, there was not food running around all over the place and were just some piles of fruit and moss nests.

They all sat down, Kinkajou picking pieces of fruit while the others grabbed some fish another Seawing caught.

Qibli noticed Winter glaring at him, and he finched. I can't steal your girlfriend. I know..

Jealousy flashed in his heart as he turned back to his friends, who were chatting about the homework.

"Does anyone know the answer to number eight?" Kinkajou asked, her snout scrunched in an orange-yellow colour, like marigolds. "It's so confusing!"

"I do." He interjected, hoping to impress Moon somehow. He quietly explained the question with careful reasoning.

"Thanks." Kinkajou grinned at him, but Qibli couldn't help but glance at Moon, who didn't seem to be paying much attention.

Hmm. Seems like she's listening to something. But she can't be. What would she be listening to? Doesn't seem to be paying attention... I wonder if she's thinking something important.

He couldn't help but wonder if Moon was thinking of him.

Qibli took a few bites of his fish, chewing slowly. Moon wasn't thinking of him. She liked Winter... Right? But she might not... But she also HAS to be with Winter. Isn't that how arranged marriages worked?

Right?

His head hurt briefly, and he sighed. What could a guy like him do to even come close to a guy like Winter?

"How are you doing today?" He noticed Moon was talking to HIM.

"Oh. Uh. Good!" He said, blushing slightly before he could stop himself.

"Qibli- do you think I could talk to you for a second?" Moon asked, her voice turning quieter.

"Yeah sure!" He blurted.

He followed her out into a more private area near the prey centre, shouting, "we'll be back!"

"Qibli," Moon said earnestly, "I'm not sure about Winter. He probably doesn't like me- and I think you could be a dragon to talk to?"

She looked at him shyly, and he smiled back. "Of course! He probably doesn't hate you! You're very- likeable. Winter is just being Winter."

"Are you sure?" Moon asked, seeming uncertain.

"Positive." Qibli answered.

They stood there for a few moments, and he noticed their wingtips were touching. He pulled away, knowing he wasn't supposed to feel this way.

"Oh. I guess we should get back then." She gave him another warm smile, that made his face flush for sure.

Moon headed off, and he started to follow her when he ran into cold, blue scales.

"Moon isn't for the taking Sandwing," Winter snapped.

"And you better leave her alone."
