“HOW’S your wounds?”
Sonja traced the owner of the familiar voice. It was Erez. She was out one afternoon with Luna and Snow. She was just in the garden. Ito ang unang beses na nakaharap niyang muli ang lalaki matapos ang insidenteng ginawa niya noong nakaraan.
“It’s fine.” Marahang sagot niya bago unti-unting tumayo, she was sitting by the way.
She looked at him carefully. He was wearing a cream casual polo shirt and a gray pants. He looks absolutely extra in that simple outfit. How is that even possible?
Napabaling si Sonja sa mga braso nito. His small cuts from that forest were almost healed and dry. It’s still pains her thinking about how she caused such distress to the people around here.
“I asked Niki to packed your things we’re moving back to the mansion.”
“H-huh?” Bakit?
Is it because of what she did? Napagtanto na ba ni Erez na plinano niyang tumakas? She promised not to do it again! She likes it here!
“Why?” Tanong niya.
“I have things to do,” sagot nito.
“But I like it here.” Halos bulong na sabi niya. “You haven’t even teach me how to ride the horses.”
Erez eyes narrowed her. “We’re just moving for a couple of days then we’ll be back here. I’ll teach you how to ride the horses then.”
“Really?” Her eyes lit up.
Tumango ito sa kaniya.
“Thanks!” Masayang aniya. “But why do we need to go back there if you can do whatever you needs to do here.”
Erez let out a low chuckled. “We’re not actually staying there, dadaan lang tayo doon then luluwas tayo pa-Manila.”
Manila?!
Kumabog ang dibdib ni Sonja. This time sigurado siyang hindi dahil sa kaba iyon kundi dahil sa excitement. Maybe she could asked Erez once they’re in Manila if she could meet at least her brother.
“Can I. . .” She gulped hard before continuing what she was about to say. “. . . See my brother once we’re there?”
Erez nodded at her slowly. “I’ll arrange it for you.”
“Really?” Halos maluha si Sonja sa saya dahil sa sagot nito sa kaniya.
Pumapayag si Erez! She can finally see her brother after months of being away from her family!
“I’ll help Niki packed my things then!” Excited na aniya kay Erez at halos takbuhin na niya ang pagitan nila ng kaniyang silid sa loob ng farm mansion.
Gosh! She was really excited! Makakalabas na siya uli! Babalik siya ng Manila! Hindi siya sigurado kung ilang linggo ang itatagal nila doon or baka araw lang pero wala siyang pakialam, ang importante ay makakalabas siya! Bonus pa na makikita niya ang kuya Sunny niya!
At dumating nga ang araw na iyon. Unfortunately, hindi nila makakasama sina Niki, Gustav at ang mga babies niyang sina Luna at Snow papuntang Manila. Naiwan ang mga ito sa main mansion ng mga Alterra. At totoo nga ang sinabi ni Erez na may kinailangan lang itong gawin sa mansyon na iyon pagkatapos ay tumungo na rin sila pa-Manila.
Tatlong sasakyan ang nakabuntot sa sasakyan nila ni Erez. Yes, sa kotse nito siya sumakay. The rest of the cars, mga bodyguards ang nakasakay. Hindi naman siya nagtataka kung bakit maraming bodyguards na nakabuntot sa kanila. Alam niyang mayaman ang pamilya Alterra kaya for security ang mga bodyguards na iyon.
