Chapter 5

The Kims and Jeons sat in the living room again after the lunch.

"The lunch was very good." Raj compliment with a small smile making rest of his family nod as well.

"Thank you, I myself prepared that!" Jieun answered cheerfully making her mother look at her with a look of stop overacting.

"Wow that's really cool, I didn't know you could cook so well!" Jungsuk said with a huge smile, eyes literally shining as he looked at Jieun.

All this while, Taehyung silently judged his actions, his behaviour when it came to his sister and he now agrees that Jungsuk actually loves Jieun, his eyes and whole body language screams that but somewhere he was still a little hesitant.

When he was busy judging Jungsuk, he didn't notice he was getting judged by Jeon Jungkook who eyed him intensely yet subtly.

"So can we talk outside and let the kids and ladies mingle?" Taeyang asked Raj who agreed and left with him.

Lina smiled at Jieun and asked her to sit beside her. "My son chose a real gem..." she giggled. "Sure I did." Jungsuk added.

"So can I ask you Jungsuk, are you virgin?" Ryla asked bluntly making everybody sat in the living room choke.

Taehyung looked at his mother proudly, they were extremely religious and any intimacy before marriage didn't sit well with their beliefs, ain't no way they were accepting Jungsuk without knowing this.

"Swear on God and answer honestly." She added.

Jungkook looked at the lady as if she is some kind of alien. Now he didn't know anything about his brother's intimate life history but it seemed like a personal question that she asked so bluntly. It didn't sit well with him, it was sounding judgemental and disrespectful.

"Are you okay Mrs.Kim?" Jungkook asked, voice calm yet the facial expressions screams otherwise. "You are seriously asking such personal question? Plus infront of us?"

"Yeah I want him to answer truthfully, infront of y'all... I don't know about your family but our family strictly restricts such vulgar behaviour." She explained. "Vulgar...really?" Jungkook stood up with a frown. "Let him answer." This time, it was Taehyung who glared at him. "Stop interrupting something you shouldn't." He added, voice firm.

"You can't tell me what to do Mr.Kim." Jungkook argued but was stopped by Jungsuk.
"I will answer, sit quietly Jungkook, not one word."

"Jungkook, we know you returned from USA ofcourse your mindset would be different from us. But do not forget your origin, what's wrong is wrong. Intimacy with no label, is wrong. Giving yourself to someone who is nothing to you atleast on the basis of the papers, it's like losing yourself, your pride and dignity. Please understand the right values not blindly follow your western culture." Ryla said in a strict voice but her facial expression remained calm. While Jungkook gulped, he got the idea that whatever she said, was indeed right, so he nodded and kept quiet.

"I am n-not virgin, I-I did ask Jieun to be i-intimate, before marriage. I am extremely sorry for that, please forgive me for my mistake." He admitted making Jungkook stare at him in shock. He couldn't believe Jungsuk did this. While Taehyung just shook his head at his response.

Jungsuk's words brought an unsettling feeling in Lina's stomach, she wanted to slap her son. His shameful act is not settling well with her beliefs either, she never taught none of her kids to do such vile things.

"Now you know Mrs.Jeon, why my son used to send your son away from our house, all beaten up and abused. This was the reason." Ryla confirmed with a nonchalant look. Jieun took a deep breathe. "But I didn't do anything mom..." she whispered. "So we just ignore this?" Taehyung questioned back. "Thats not what I'm saying brother..." her next words were ignored by everyone.
