Chapter 16

"Yeah that's what I'm saying, we should start discussing about their marriage, what do you think?" Ryla asked Taeyang who gave her a suspicious look. "What?" She asked with a frown.

"Why are you so interested in this all of sudden?" He asked. "It's my daughter's marriage!" She reasoned. "You weren't concerned about that before." Taeyang spoke and got back to reading his newspaper. "Please..I had some doubts before." She tried to convince her husband. "Now they're cleared?" "Yes." Came a firm answer from Ryla making Taeyang smile slightly.

"If that's the case, I will call Mr.Jeon." Taeyang said as he got up to call Raj. Ryla looked at her husband then silently prayed to God, to make everything go finely.

"Lina. The Kims called. They want to discuss about marriage." Raj told his wife who gulped. "Y-yea so?" "You know exactly what I'm implying..." Raj's stern voice made her gulp and she sighed in defeat.

"Fine...I will let him come back." She said in a low tone making Raj sigh. "You shouldn't hold so much grudge for your kids." He said with a soft voice. "If the mistake is that bad, then I can't help it. I do not tolerate such kind of disobedience." Lina said with a serious face.

Jungkook held the coffee mug tightly in his hand, eyes glaring at his laptop screen while also on a phone call placed on speaker.

There was an error-

"So you gave me such data, then decide to put blame on my predictions? Wow...cool. I call off my managing issues with your company and this is my final decision, Goodbye Samuel." Jungkook hung up the call, his eyes tiredly stared at the data he managed to work on and dedicate his time on.

Tears of frustration came out of his eyes as he gently placed his laptop back on his study table, he was about to get up and grab another glass of caffeine but a knock on his door.

Lina entered inside his room with a sheepish smile. "You seem tired my baby..." Listening to his mother's voice brought all the pent up frustration and tears back and a low sob escaped his lips.

His mother didn't wait, as she rushed to hug him. "Don't cry, you have worked so hard... You deserve a break. You're back here, I won't let you drown yourself in your work. Come on, we're going to meet Kims." She said patting his head softly.

As soon as Jungkook heard that, all the memories from the night of his birthday cake flashing infront of his eyes.

It had been 2 weeks since then, a little awkward communication between Taehyung and Jungkook but other than that, both became pretty busy to put thought to their new found love interest.

"Meet K-Kims?" He asked as confirmation earning and nod from his mother. "Get ready, don't look so tired. I..I have decided to call Jungsuk back." Lina said and she soon saw a cute bunny smile spreading across her son's face.

"Yay! Finally! Thank you so much mom..." Jungkook embraced her, snuggling into her stomach. She smiled warmly and rubbed his back. "I can't stay away from him Jungkook, he is my first child." She said and kissed his forehead. "And you're my treasure." Saying that she left.

Jungsuk was informed by Raj that he was called back to his home. His happiness was clearly visible as he rushed back and fell on his knees infront of Lina.

"Mom I...I will never repeat such grave mistake. I took everything for granted, all my beliefs were wrong. I'm sorry mom, I will never do this again."

Lina looked at her son kneeling infront of her and sighed.

"You know your words and actions deeply hurted me Jungsuk, right?" Lina asked, her voice wavering.

"I know mom and I'm ready to prove you that I've changed. I swear I will never let Jieun complain about a single thing." Jungsuk said and Lina looked at her husband with a smile who nodded in return.

"Then give mom a hug Suk!" She said and opened her arms with teary eyes. Jungsuk couldn't believe he got a chance and immediately embraced his mother in a tight hug.

"I missed you so much mom, I can't face this again. I almost died." Jungsuk weeped in sadness. "It was necessary my boy, you are a man now." Raj said and patted his back.

"Now I'm the outsider here."

Came a sulky Jungkook who was standing at a distance, pouting cutely.

"Who said? You're my masterpiece!" Raj said and gestured him to come to him and Jungkook didn't wait to hug him tightly.

"This is how it has always been, dad always loved you more." Jungsuk whined. "So what? Mom adored you the most! Did I complain?" Jungkook fired back. The Jeon couple looked at their children bickering over silly things and laughed.

"Now now young man, don't you wanna meet your soon to be wife?" Lina asked with a teasing smile. "Uh..yea-yes! Ofcourse..Let's go!" Jungsuk fumbled with a red face earning loud teasing whistle from Jungkook.

"I will get my chance to tease you back, just you wait!" Jungsuk threatened him while Jungkook just laughed it off.

Taehyung was called early from his office due to the family dinner and he can't help but look forward to it, it had been 2 weeks since he saw Jungkook. He wouldn't admit it but he missed that bubbly boy.

Even mere thought of him brought a shy smile on Taehyung's face.

"Yes dad, I just left. I will be there within half an hour. Yes, yes take care." He said and hung up the call.

"Finally Jungkook...Finally."
