Jungkook sat on his bed, totally engrossed in analysing given data of a company and replying the client not realising it was 11.50pm already.

Stretching himself, he forwarded his hand towards the nightstand, grabbing his coffee taking little sips every now and then.

Lina had entered two times before but didn't get enthusiastic replies from Jungkook, she had been angry and bitter the entire week after kicking Jungsuk out that she couldn't even give a comforting shoulder to her younger son.

Now that she had realised it, Jungkook is no more in need of any comfort or support. His aim to show that he can deal with anything on his own concerned his parents.

"Man, it's finished?" He groaned looking at his third empty cup of coffee and got up, all tired and sore.

Opening his door, he found Lina already coming towards him with hot chocolate and Raj following closely behind her with a cake making Jungkook frown.

Before he could ask anything, Lina grabbed his arms pushing him inside his room again, making him sit as she closed his laptop.

Raj placed the cake infront of him and smiled at his wife who returned the same.

"Happy Birthday Jungkookie!"

His eyes widened as he saw his parents smiling and wishing him, literally next second the screen of his phone lightened.

Suk bro-
Happiest Birthday baby, I'm so sorry I can't wish you in person rightnow. But know that brother loves you alot. Enjoy your day <3

That message was on top, next came by his friends' messages.

He stared at the text and then at his mother whose attention was now on the text as well.

"You feel happy now?" Jungkook asked his mother, voice broken but still a sad smile decorated his face.

Lina's face fell as she saw how her son reacted.

"After almost 6 years I'm spending my birthday in India and my brother, well... He is kicked out. He couldn't even wish me in person mom. I'm sorry- I love you but t-this is hurting..." Jungkook broke down, tears flowing down continuously.

Raj felt bad for his younger son, he always liked to be centre of the attention of his family. He enjoyed being together, he loves his family... all together, all time.

Finally when he is able to celebrate his birthday in his home country, his brother couldn't wish him face to face made Jungkook broke down infront of his birthday cake.

Their phones started ringing signing that people were calling to wish at midnight.

The call was from Jieun's family and Raj sighed, not picking it up.

"My decision was for the best. Now if you have any further wishes, please blow the candles and wish for it. If it's good, it will happen." Lina said as she wipped his tears.

"Tears don't look good on you baby. You're so successful, so bright. We love you alot, please be happy." Raj whispered as he patted Jungkook's head.

"Come on, blow the candles."

They encouraged him, Jungkook felt some kind of ease and hope inside him.

Obeying he blew the candles, silently joining his hands together, closing his eyes and wishing for his brother's presence.

"Happy birthday to you~"

The parents sang as they saw their little bunny cutting the cake and extending two pieces of it to both of them together.

Hugging their child, the couple looked at eachother.

"Now don't stay up, go to sleep." Lina said as she broke the hug and kissed his cheek.

"Mom the work..." Jungkook reasoned, "no way. You have to rest Jungkook." Raj interrupted making him sigh in defeat.

The next day, he woke up at 11 in the morning, taking his sweet time to get ready and going downstairs for brunch.

"You're late for the breakfast and too early for lunch, but since it's your day...I'm quiet." Lina said as she placed the lunch infront of him. "You're quiet?" Jungkook snorted earning a glare from his mother.

"I love your quietness." He said as he heard his father laugh out. "I have been loving that since so long, glad you are the same." Raj joked earning a huff from his wife.

"You both are so mean..."

She muttered and sat down watching her little bunny munch on his food.

"Mom, I am going for shopping and will also watch a movie." Jungkook announced making Lina frown. "Alone?" She asked. "Who else is there now?" He asked back. Raj sensed the tension. "No friends?" He decided to ask.

"No I'm choosing solo date for myself, my friends are in USA dad..." he reasoned. "Fine fine but be back till 6pm." Lina told him as she took the plate from Jungkook's hands, serving him more.

"No moree..." he whined making his parents chuckle.

Meanwhile,

"The Jeons didn't pick up my call yesterday." Taeyang said and Jieun nodded in acknowledgement.

While Taehyung and Ryla both chose to ignore the conversation.

Sighing at his family's condition, Taeyang looked at his daughter.

"They are planning a birthday party for Jungkook since it's been like 6 years that he is celebrating his birthday here, with his family. They gave me the chance to manage it. I'm so excited." Jieun said sounding all enthusiastic making her father smile.

"They are using you..." Ryla spoke making Jieun close her eyes in frustration while Taehyung sighed. Whenever his mother choose to open her mouth, she always say something bad and it has started to ruin his mood.

"Ryla I would like if you stay silent." Taeyang said, voice firm. "And Jieun-ah please do your best. We will be there with presents." He said. "What time?" Taehyung asked after finishing his breakfast making the entire family shocked.

"At 7.30pm you can leave, be there before 8 that's all." Jieun said, still in daze. "They didn't even recieve our call!" Ryla tried convincing her son. "It was midnight mom and stop hating Jungkook just because you don't like his brother." Taehyung spoke and left.

Ryla stared at his back with a deep frown. "What's wrong with him?" She asked to herself. "What's wrong with you?" Taeyang asked his wife. "They are literally ignoring our calls..." she tried to reason making Jieun chuckle. "Jungsuk's mother called me back in the morning, she apologized for not receiving the calls saying they were almost sleeping later. She is not like you, trying to find reason to hate me because she didn't like my brother's actions..." Jieun said with a smirk and gave a judgemental eye to her mother.

"That's too bold coming from you..." Ryla gritted her teeth.

"I do not hate him, I just don't like your choice, other than that guy, the entire family is picture perfect." Ryla said in an obvious tone. "Oh even Jungkook? He is so modern and totally opposite of what you like-"

Jieun was interrupted by her mother laughing like a maniac.

"He is modern. Yes. And? He is successful. He is not dependent on anybody. He can live alone in another country, the confidence and everything is appreciable." Ryla said with a confident look. "Jungkook and Jungsuk share the same blood." That's all Jieun said and left.

Not liking how Jungkook has made his best place in her mother's mind but not her lover. Her mother never appreciated her efforts but Jungkook's? The boy who had said he hates their family, their thoughts process and mindset, she likes him? Jieun laughed bitterly.

"What better is he..." she muttered as she walked past Taehyung's room.

"He is not a love blind fool, maybe that's what makes him better than you..."

Taehyung's words pierced her heart.

"You won't understand love unless you fall for someone."
