That night as the moon shined over the seven kingdoms Aelora stood outside where the dragons were kept as she stroked her dragon scales soothing him.
Athran was as large and strong as Vhagar.
He like Vhagar was a dragon of war yet he had yet to hunt with her as his rider.
She had found Athran as a child after she ran too far through deep forests.
She was the only human he had not killed.
She placed her head on his before walking to his hand.
She stood on his palm before feeling him lift her onto his back.
She gave him another set of strokes on his well-kept scales before commanding him to fly as the rest of her family began to fly on their dragons.
Athran lifted from the ground swiftly before lifting her into the sky.
She laid against his large back trusting him to follow the other dragons.
Aelora sat up a few times to see the fluffy clouds or to check if he was flying the correct way.

Hours passed quickly as Athran landed on the red keeps land.
She got off of his back with help from his hand once again before guiding him to where Vhagar was kept.
She then walked to where her mother was.
"Is Athran tied?" her mother asked.
"Of course," Aelora said.
"We must stay together through our visit.
Who knows what they are plotting" Daemon said.
"Enough.
I expect you all to act with the most respect.
We are here for the king, not to continue old conflicts" Rhaenyra said.
They all then walked to the front gate as Aelora looked around seeing the beauty in her old home.
Unlike Dragonstone it was lively and warm.
The coldness and emptiness her home held didn't exist here.
Once the guards allowed them inside she suddenly became more nervous.
"Lady Rhaenyra and Lord Daemon.
The queen wishes your presence at once" a member of the king's guard said as his white cloak shined in the candlelight.
"Of course.
I expect that she sent a guard to take my children to their chambers" Rhaenyra said.
"Of course.
I will be helping them find their way" he said.
"Good," she said before saying her goodbyes to the boys before walking with a second guard.
"Follow me," the guard said as he began to walk through the Red Keep.
He first sent Lucerys and Jace to their quarters before looking at Aelora.
"The Queen has instructed that you stay near her daughter's quarters.
If you follow me, my lady" he said.
"Alright," she said.
Once she was at her quarters she walked inside.
The room was similar to her quarters in Dragonstone but was different in some ways.
She expected to be staying in her old chambers yet she enjoyed that she didn't have to see a room with so many memories.
Not all sweet.
She sat on her bed before looking around.
Tomorrow she expected a meeting amongst the families to discuss heirs.
It was one thing she was the least excited for as the most blood was shed during those gatherings.
She placed her hand on the necklace the king gave her on one of her name days before laying back knowing nothing would happen till the morning.
She needed to get some sleep so that tomorrow she could be ready for whatever happens.
Good or bad.
