Moments passed as Aelora walked to the throne room before opening the doors to see Rhaenyra standing in front of Alicent as guards surrounded Alicent.
"You truly have gone mad," Aelora said.
Rhaenyra turned around to look at her "Aelora.
I see you are well" her mother said.
"Enough.
You know why I face you.
Mother" she said.
"You would kill me?
After all that I have done for you," Rhaenyra said.
"You tried to kill my son.
For that, I will make sure you do not leave this castle alive" she said.
"A son a son.
My son was taken from me so why should you have one?
While I grieve you stand in these halls happy.
You have betrayed me" Rhaenyra said.
"Listen to yourself.
You have been swallowed by your grief.
I did not choose to birth my son the night Lucerys died" she said.
"As you stand here with a child inside you.
You do not understand the pain of losing a child while I know the pain of losing two" Rhaenyra said.
"Do not understand?
I understand perfectly after hearing word of you being set on killing my first child hours after he took his first breath.
He can not yet stand yet you wish to kill him.
You wish to kill pure innocence and I won't allow you.
I will protect him with my life to the day he can protect himself" she said.
"Then you will be prepared to die here," Rhaenyra said.
Suddenly a sword was at her throat.
"I do not wish for you to die but you have left me with no choice" Rhaenyra said.
"We both know that is a lie," she said before moving out of the way of the sword before slicing open the guards stomach causing his organs to spill out.
She then stabbed him in the eye before looking at her mother.
"Do you still belived you will win this?
That you will sit on that throne at the end of this?" she asked.
Rhaenyra looked at her daughter.
"You will be impaled on the swords surrounding it instead of sitting on the throne," Aelora said.
She then picked up the guard's sword before walking to her mother.
"You may be ruled by your madness but I am ruled by my rage.
The rage you caused by sending a guard after my child" she said before swinging the sword at her mother cutting her arm.
Alicent rushed to get away as Aelora threw the sword across the room before taking Aemond's dagger.
"Aelora stop this" Rhaenyra said.
"Not until you are dead," she said before slicing her mother's neck.
Now enough to kill her but enough to show blood.
Suddenly her mother's soldiers rushed in to protect their queen but not quickly enough as Aelora stabbed her mother in the chest.
She then watched her mother fall in front of her.
"Now you feel how I feel.
To have your heart cut out while you stay defenceless not knowing what to do.
This is where your reign ends Mother" Aelora said.
"Please.
I'm sorry Aelora.
I have always loved you" Rhaenyra cried out as tears ran down her face.
"I lost your brother.
What do you expect from me?" she asked.
"I hope you burn," Aelora said before pushing her onto the melted swords.
She watched as Rhaenyra's blood coated the swords as she wiped away tears.
"Goodbye Mother," she said before turning around to look at the soldiers.
"Your queen is dead.
If you do not wish to did I suggest you run far away from the Red Keep.
If you are lucky Vhagar may spare you" Aelora said.
They all looked at her before rushing from the throne room and retreating.
Aelora watched them leave before falling to her knees.
She placed her hand on her stomach before looking at her mother.
"Have her buried.
If you wish to burn her then do so without telling me" Aelora said.
Alicent looked at her before nodding.
"You may be a woman but you have the strength of a great warrior" Alicent said.
"I did it for Rhaenyx.
Now he can grow without fear" she said before standing.
She walked out of the throne room to find Aemond as she took steady breaths to hold back tears.
Even if her mother was the enemy she was still her mother.
