All was strangely calm as the king sat amongst Alicent, Rhaenyra and Daemon.
"I have given great thought before your visit dear Rhaenyra.
Even in my weak state, I will stand tall to witness this" he said.
Everyone sat silently not knowing what he was about to say.
Rhaenyra had many ideas and many of them were things she never wanted to hear her father say.
"Aelora must be wed before I take my last breath.
She is getting older each day and you have not allowed her to perform her duty to our family" Viserys said.
"Father I only did that as she is hard to please.
Most suitors would not find her a good wife" Rhaenyra said.
"She is by far the most beautiful out of all the girls of the seven kingdoms.
I do not believe that all men would refuse her" he said.
"Then who do you envision to be her husband?
To be by her side when she rightfully takes the throne" Daemon said.
"If I may dear husband.
Aemond could be the perfect match.
He has prepared to become king all his life.
He would be the most suited to the role" Alicent said.
"Of course but we are not speaking of her husband becoming king" Rhaenyra said.
"To keep the Targaryen bloodline strong he would be the only one suited" Alicent said.
"I have had word from House Stark as well as many other houses that their sons would strengthen alliances" Viserys said.
He looked at Alicent.
"I will have a think about who will benefit our house moving forward and tonight I will announce my decision.
Leave me for now" he said.
Alicent looked at Rhaenyra before walking to the doorway.
"My king.
If Aemondand Aelora marry then both sides of this family will be united.
The rift between us will no longer exist if they unite" Alicent said before walking out of the room.

It had been two days since Aelora spoke with Aemond after years of being apart.
She sat in her quarters painting as she remembered him.
Her lack of male attention left her without a clue about how a man could make her feel.
Aemond made her feel things she struggled to understand.
She painted an out her petal on the flower she was painting before hearing her handmaidens walk in.
"My lady the feast is soon.
We are here to prepare you for it" one said as three of them stood near the door.
Aelora turned around.
"Of course," she said before walking to them.
"I will draw you a bath my lady" one said as the others undressed her and took her hair out of the style they had done that morning.
She felt bad that they did such intricate, beautiful styles only for her to stay within her quarters most days.
It was rare for anyone to see their effort yet they never seemed to be bothered by that.
She then got into the lavender bath before letting out a humm at the beautiful scents and warm water.
"My lady which down would you like to wear tonight?" one of the handmaidens asked.
She turned her head.
"Anything that is not red, black or green.
Something that suits me perfectly" she said.
The handmaiden then rushed to find the dress that fit Aelora's description as Aelora felt her body relaxed.
Tonight was supposed to be peaceful and nice yet she knew it would be anything but.
She just hoped she wouldn't have to drink more than one goblet full of wine.
