Several days had passed as Aelora sat with Helaena in the gardens as she twirled a white rose between her fingers.
"You are distracted," Helaena said.
Aelora looked at Helaena.
"Sorry.
I haven't been sleeping" she said.
"Does my brother know?" Helaena asked.
"There is nothing he does not know.
I keep having nightmares of my son being killed by my family" she said.
"He will grow as strong as Aemond.
I do not believe they will defeat everything so easily" Helaena said.
"But they will try.
They have been within these walls.
They know where to find Rhaenyx" she said.
She looked at the stem of the rose before pressing her finger into a thorn causing blood to pool onto the stem.
"He will learn to use a sword before learning to speak" Helaena said.
"Indeed," she said.
She then placed the rose down before looking around.
"May I tell you something?" Aelora said.
"Of course," Helaena said.
"I believe I may be with child.
The night of the court incident we fucked in a clearing away from the castle" she said.
Helaena looked at Aelora before taking her hand.
"I hope you are blessed with a second child," Helaena said.
"Thank you.
I hope if I am it is to be a girl.
I would enjoy having a girl" Aelora said.
"The jewel of his eye," Helaena said.
Aelora looked at Helaena before smiling.
She knew whatever Heleana said meant something she would not understand till it came true.

Later in the evening, Aelora sat in the nursery with Rhaenyx in her arms as she waited for Aemond to return from training.
She stood up before walking to the window before hearing the door open.
"You are late," Aelora said as she turned around.
"Cole insisted on two more rounds.
I won them both of course" he said.
She smiled before kissing him.
"I visited the Maester after talking with Helaena.
I wondered why I had missed my monthly bleed" she said.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Im with child.
I wasn't sure this morning but now I know" she said.
He smiled before kissing her "You are the strongest person I have ever come across.
I thought you wouldn't want to have a second child" he said.
"The gods wanted it.
I hope this all will be sorted before the three moons pass" she said.
"Mother said that an army will be sent.
We will see if they succeed but I know that none of those brave men will come back" he said.
"Will you be going?" she asked.
"No.
I can't bear leaving you.
I will not lose you my darling" he said.
"Nor will I, my love," she said.
Aemond kissed his head before looking at Rhaenyx who smiled when Aemond looked at him.
"He misses you when you leave," she said.
Aemond smiled before taking Rhaenyx into his arms.
"He is growing quickly.
Soon enough he will be full-grown and not need us" Aemond said.
She smiled as she stroked Rhaenyx softly.
"I fear for that day.
I just hope he will be wise and know right from wrong.
I know not many in this family hold such qualities" she said.
"Indeed.
Hopefully, we do not need to worry" he said.
"A mother will always worry," she said before walking to the chair near the chest of wooden toys.
Aemond looked at her as he held Rhaenyx.
"Have I ever thanked you for giving me a world I never thought I would have?" he asked.
"Many times," she said.
"Then I will continue to repeat myself," he said as they shared one pure moment before it all falls apart.
