The next morning Aelora sat next to Aemond during breakfast.
Because of the wedding, her mother had to stay more time than planned at the Red Keep.
It allowed for more tension than before as Aelora tried to ignore the glares from her brothers.
The entire castle knew that they had consummated.
Her brothers knew and that alone made them hate her.
She sipped the water from her cup before placing her head on Aemond's shoulder.
He made her feel like it was just them.
He looked at her "Tired?" he asked softly.
"No.
I just wanted to stop feeling their eyes on us" she said as she looked at him.
Aemond looked at Jace and Lucerys before looking at her.
"In a few days, they will go back to Dragonstone.
After that, no one of your family will cause you to hide how happy you are" he said before kissing her head.
Suddenly Aegon sat across from them with a jug of wine and a goblet.
He poured some wine into the cup before smiling.
"I didn't think you had it in you.
The entire kingdom is talking about your splendid consummation.
Must have gone well" Aegon teased.
He then laughed at the silence.
"Or didn't it?" he asked.
"It did.
The witnesses would have left early if they saw no hope in the ceremony" she said.
Aegon raised his eyebrow before smiling.
"Why don't you go bother somebody else, dear brother," Aemond said.
"You know I just came to say congratulations but if you really want me out of your way then I will find some lonely handmaiden to entertain myself with," Aegon said.
He then left as Aemond glared at him knowing he was only upsetting Aelora.
"I apologize for my brute of a brother," he said.
"Seems wherever we go we will be pestered," she said.
"Indeed.
My brother is easy to handle" he said.
She smiled "Can we go back to our quarters?
I collected many books from the library this morning.
Enough to keep us entertained till later" she said.
"I was thinking we should go on a dragon ride together," he said.
She looked at him before smiling.
"That is very much better than my plans," she said.
"Shall we then?" he asked.
"Of course," she said.
They walked out together before gathering cloaks and other things they needed.
They then walked to Athran and Vhagar.
"Where should we fly to?" she asked.
"I have a place in mind," he said.
Once Athran and Vhagar were ready to be mounted Aemond and Aelora both mounted their dragons before flying up into the sky.
Athran and Vhagar flew side by side not leaving each other once.
Aelora looked at Aemond before smiling as he led her to a safe place that he had discovered a while ago.
Once they arrived both Aemond and Aelora guided their dragons down before demounting them.
Aelora walked to Aemond as she saw nothing but trees he led her to a clearing before kissing her.
"It's not much but when you feel overwhelmed as wish to only be with me or alone this is the place we can go to" he said,
She looked around as he held her close.
"So beautiful," she said before looking at him.
He kissed her shoulder.
He looked at her before kissing her.
"You are everything to me now and I will do everything I can to make sure you are happy.
I don't like seeing you upset" he said.
She smiled "I feel the same.
I may not be a warrior but I wish for you to be happy with me" she said before kissing him as for once they were completely isolated and alone.
