Chapter 11

*Chapter 11*

*Alli*

"We have to go now!" Nick said, running over to me.

"Why? What's wrong?" I asked as he pulled me towards the car.

"Nick, what's going on?" I yelled when he didn't answer me. He was scaring me.

"Mandy just called your father's house and told them she needed you and me to come to her house immediately." He explained.

"What! Why?" I asked, confused.

He looked at me and still said nothing.

"Nick!" I exclaimed. He looked like he was debating what to do. "Mandy said that Matthew was trying to kill her." He said, waiting for my reaction.

"He wouldn't hurt her," I said, coming to his defense.

We pulled up to the house, and Nick helped me out. Together, we ran to the front door. Nick pulled me behind him and opened the door. I was shocked at what I saw. There was Matthew in his wolf form, growling at Mandy.

It was a scary sight; his lips were pulled back, exposing his sharp teeth. Mandy curled up in a ball on the floor. I stepped from behind Nick, and Matthew's head snapped to me. I don't know how I knew, but I knew that he would calm down if I went to him. I started walking to him, and Nick growled low in his throat.

"Don't go near him, Alli." He growled.

Matthew's head snapped to Nick, and he growled.

"Nick, I need to do this. Something is wrong, and he needs me. Please try and understand," I pleaded.

"Alli, he could hurt you; for god's sake, he's not in control." He said, pulling me to him.

"He would never hurt me," I said, withdrawing from his hold.

I walked over to where Matthew was, and I bent down to help Mandy off the ground.

That was a bad idea. Matthew growled and pushed me back with his nose. Nick shifted, thinking I was in danger, and jumped at Matthew. Matthew bared his teeth, warning Nick to stop.

"Nick, stop!" I yelled.

I knew that Matthew, being an Alpha, was stronger and could quickly kill Nick.

"Matthew, please stop," I begged.

I ran and stood between them.

"Mandy, what the hell is going on?" I yelled, needing to know what the hell was happening.

*Mandy*

"I just told Mathew I'm Andrew's stepsister," I replied hesitantly.

"The Alpha that's attacking us?" She said, looking at me, shocked.

Matthew growled and went to stand next to her.

"He needs to be around you so that he can calm himself down enough to shift back," I said, putting some space between Alli and me.

I knew that Matthew considered me a threat to Alli. The last thing I wanted right now was to piss off a giant wolf who wanted nothing more than to tare our my throat for what I had cost him.

"Matthew, please shift back," Alli said, running her hands through his black fur.

Nick growled, but I raised my hand to stop him from attacking.

"Please, he needs to shift back," I begged, looking at Nick's wolf.

"His wolf is in control right now, and the only one safe here is Alli," I said, going to stand next to Nick.
