The next day.

Jimin sits at the dining table and glances at Yoongi. The latter bows subtly to Jimin.

Jimin says, 'Sit down.'

Yoongi hesitates with a subtle bow.

Jimin continues, 'We're stuck here for a month. Let's be friends.' and gestures asking Yoongi to sit in front of him.

Yoongi sits in front of Jimin and gulps nervously.

Jimin clicks his tongue and serves Yoongi a bowl of rice. Yoongi bows subtly and holds the bowl in his hand.

Jimin says, 'Stop showing respect. I'm younger than you.'
Yoongi says, 'I work for you, sir.'
Jimin says, 'I wanna be friends with you.'
Yoongi says, 'I can't be your friend...'
Jimin asks, 'Why? Am I boring?'
Yoongi answers, 'Because I work for you.'
Jimin says, 'No, you don't.'

Yoongi looks puzzled.

Jimin continues, 'I don't want a bodyguard. My father wants me to have a bodyguard. Meaning, you work for him and not me.'
Yoongi asks, 'Why do you not want a bodyguard?'
Jimin asks, 'What?'
Yoongi answers, 'I mean, it's clear that you're in danger. Why would you not want a bodyguard?'
Jimin says, 'I don't really wish to live longer.'
Yoongi asks, 'Why?'

Jimin starts to have his food and talks in between; Yoongi follows him.

Jimin answers, 'There's a thing called loneliness in this world. Once you start feeling it, you wouldn't have the desire to live longer.'
Yoongi says, 'You have your cousin.'
Jimin says, 'He doesn't even visit me.'
Yoongi asks, 'Why?'

Jimin grabs a piece of meat with his chopsticks and answers, 'Father doesn't let me talk to my Eomma's relatives.'

Yoongi says, 'He must have his reasons.'
Jimin says, 'He does. He used to hate Eomma...'
Yoongi says, 'He could have other reasons as well.'
Jimin asks, 'Do you think the enemy group killed Eomma? If they really were the enemy group as my father claims, why didn't they kill me?'

Yoongi says, 'He just wants to protect you.'
Jimin says, 'And why do you think he wants to protect me? Just because I'm his heir.'
Yoongi says, 'You are his heir.'
Jimin says, 'I seriously wish I wasn't.'

Yoongi does not respond.

Jimin continues, 'I've been lonely ever since Eomma left. I guess I'll have to live alone until I die.'
Yoongi says, 'I know that I'm just a bodyguard to you but... I can give you company if you want me to.'
Jimin asks, 'Why?'

Yoongi presses his lips tight and Jimin starts to chew on the piece of meat.

Jimin raises his eyebrows as if he is asking Yoongi to answer his question.

Yoongi gazes at Jimin as he answers, 'Because... I want to.'

Jimin swallows and says, 'Fair enough.'

Yoongi smiles at Jimin—the former seems to blush a little.

Shortly, Yoongi is doing the dishes. He receives a call from someone. He keeps the bowl in the sink and closes the tap. He wipes his hands dry and grabs his phone from his pocket. He answers the call.

Over the phone.

Yoongi: Tell me, Jungkook-ah.

Jungkook: Hyung, I've paid the university fees.

Yoongi: Good.

Jungkook: I'm thinking of going for a part-time job.

Yoongi: Why? You can tell me if you need money.

Jungkook: No, Hyung. I don't wanna trouble you.

Yoongi: Don't say that, Jungkook-ah. You know that I earn more now. I can manage everything.

Jungkook: I talked to Taehyungie Hyung...

Yoongi: Is something wrong?

Jungkook: He wants to move to the States.

Jungkook: I won't do it if you don't want me to.

Jimin walks into the kitchen and overhears Yoongi talk over the phone.

Yoongi: I want you to be happy.

Yoongi notices Jimin.

Jimin says, 'I'm sorry.' and walks off.

Jungkook: Is something wrong?

Yoongi: Nope.

Jungkook: Okay...

Yoongi: Make sure to eat on time. Take care of yourself and keep me updated. Tell Taehyung that I said "Hello".

Jungkook: Okay... You should take care, too.

Yoongi: Aye.

Jungkook: Okay, I gotta go.

Yoongi: All right.

Jungkook: I have a test tomorrow.

Yoongi: Study well and do well.

Jungkook: Thank you, Hyung-nim!

Yoongi: Mmm...

Jungkook: Bye-bye!

Yoongi: Bye...

Jungkook hangs up and Yoongi keeps his phone in his pocket. Jimin walks into the kitchen and spots Yoongi smiling a little.

Jimin says, 'Sorry... I didn't mean to interrupt your private time.'
Yoongi asks, 'What?'
Jimin answers, 'I just wanted to ask you something. I didn't mean to disturb you while you were talking to your... Girlfriend.'

Yoongi giggles softly and says, 'That wasn't my girlfriend. That was Jungkook.'

Jimin thinks for a moment and says, 'Oh...'

Yoongi says, 'You wanted to ask me something.'
Jimin asks, 'You do have a girlfriend, don't you?'
Yoongi answers, 'No, I don't.'
Jimin asks, 'How so?'

Yoongi does not respond.

Jimin says, 'Forget it.' and walks off, leaving Yoongi puzzled.
