(IV) 'It's not gonna change anything.'

Jimin is sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone. He hears knocks on the door. He clicks his tongue and tosses his phone onto the bed. He stands up and walks to the door. He opens it and spots Hoseok.

Hoseok bows to Jimin and says, 'Park Ji-Sung-nim has sent for you, Jimin-nim.'

Jimin nods once and walks out of the room. He spares a glance at Yoongi and begins to walk behind Hoseok. Yoongi follows them.

Hoseok stops in front of a huge room. He knocks it and stands still.

Hyun-Jin opens the door and Hoseok bows to Mr Park.

Mr Park gestures asking the people standing in front of him to walk in.

Hoseok walks in with Yoongi and Jimin. They bow to Mr Park.

Hoseok walks to Mr Park and stands behind him.

Yoongi stands behind Jimin with an annoyed look on his face.

Mr Park says, 'We gotta talk, Park Jimin.'
Jimin says, 'Tell me, Father.'
Mr Park asks, 'Why don't you sleep with women?'
Jimin asks, 'What?'
Mr Park answers, 'I asked you a question.'

Jimin sighs and says, 'I'm not interested, Father.'

Mr Park asks, 'What do you mean?'
Jimin answers, 'I'm not interested in women.'
Mr Park asks, 'What the fuck are you blabbering?'
Jimin answers, 'I don't like women.'
Mr Park asks, 'What the fuck?'

Yoongi gulps nervously upon hearing Mr Park's deep and petrifying voice.

Jimin answers, 'I'm gay.'
Mr Park asks, 'You're what?'
Jimin answers, 'Gay. I like men.'

Mr Park stands up from the couch and gulps the alcohol in his hands in one go. He knocks the glass on the table next to the couch and steps closer to Jimin.

Jimin gulps anxiously and stands still—he feels his fingers shivering.

Mr Park clenches his jaw and asks, 'What the fuck did you just say?'

Jimin presses his lips tight and avoids Mr Park's eyes.

Mr Park shouts, 'Open your fucking mouth!'

Jimin flinches but does not utter a word.

Mr Park holds Jimin's cheeks with one hand and squeezes them. Jimin winces and tries to free himself from Mr Park's hold.

Mr Park asks, 'Do you dare to say such things to me, you filthy son of a whore?' and clenches his jaw.

Jimin manages to say, 'L-let me go.'

Mr Park lets go of Jimin and slaps him, making Yoongi flinch.

Mr Park shouts, 'Who the fuck is sleeping with you?'
Jimin answers, 'No one.'
Mr Park shouts, 'Don't you lie to me, bastard!'

Jimin flinches but does not respond to Mr Park.

Mr Park slaps Jimin again, making the corner of his bottom lip bleed.

Tears roll down Jimin's eyes.

Mr Park asks, 'Who's your slut?'
Jimin answers, 'No one, Father.'
Mr Park screams, 'Don't you fucking call me that!'

Jimin presses his lips tight and gulps anxiously.

Mr Park says, 'If you call me that with your filthy tongue again, I'll chop it off.'
Jimin stutters, 'S-sir.'
Mr Park mumbles, 'What the fuck did I do to deserve this shite?'

Mr Park walks to the couch and sits on it. He exhales sharply and stares at Jimin.

Mr Park asks, 'When did this even start, Park Jimin?'
Jimin answers, 'I've always been gay. It doesn't start as you think.'
Mr Park says, 'Bastard.'

Jimin breathes heavily yet shakily in response.

Mr Park gestures asking for something and a man in his 30s hands over a cigarette to him. Mr Park holds the cigarette with his lips and the man lights it.

Mr Park begins to smoke—he inhales the smoke through his mouth and exhales through his nose.

Jimin says, 'You can hit me all you want. It's not gonna change anything.'
Mr Park says, 'I know. Just like your mother... You're stubborn for no reason and I fucking hate it.'
Jimin says, 'I'm not being stubborn. I'm just being myself.'

Mr Park exclaims, 'Jung Hoseok!'

Hoseok steps closer to Mr Park and bows to him.

Mr Park says, 'Lock him up.'
Hoseok asks, 'Sir?'
Mr Park shouts, 'Didn't you hear me, arsehole?'
Hoseok answers, 'Sir.'

Hoseok walks to Jimin and holds the latter's left arm as he whispers, 'I'm sorry.'

Mr Park says, 'Min Yoongi. Your job is to make sure that he stays inside and if you let him out, a bullet will pierce your forehead. Am I understood?'

Yoongi bows to Mr Park and says, 'Yes, sir.'

Mr Park exclaims, 'Take him!'
Hoseok asks, 'Where should I take him, sir?'
Mr Park exclaims, 'The chamber, of course!'
Hoseok says, 'Sir.'

Mr Park gestures asking for something and a lady in her 30s hands over a glass of alcohol. He starts to sip on it.

Hoseok takes Jimin out of the room and Yoongi follows them.
