(XIII) 'He's a loathsome person.'

Hours pass.

Yoongi opens his eyes and senses a dull pain all over his body and a sharp pain in his left shoulder. He tries to lift his right hand and feels something in it—the IV line interrupts his hand movement. He has ECG pads on his chest and a cast on his left shoulder along with a sling as well as a nasal cannula to help him breathe.

Jimin walks into the observation room and steps closer to Yoongi—the former is sobbing continuously yet silently.

Jimin says, 'I'm so sorry, baby.' and breathes heavily.

Yoongi parts his lips open and says in a hoarse voice, 'It's not your fault, honey. Don't worry. I'm fine.'

Jimin asks, 'Does it hurt?'
Yoongi answers, 'Just a little. I'm fine.'
Jimin says, 'The doctor said that your shoulder was damaged because of the bullet but they fixed it. Also, it'll take time to heal.'
Yoongi says, 'I'll be fine... Yeah?'

Jimin nods several times in response.

A doctor walks to Yoongi and a nurse follows her.

[In English]
She asks, 'How are you doing?'
Yoongi answers, 'I've felt better than this before.'
She says, 'Your left shoulder was damaged. We fixed it and fortunately, you'll be fine.'
Yoongi says, 'Thank you, Doctor.'

The doctor flashes a smile and walks off with the nurse.

Jimin says, 'No matter what you say, baby, I can't feel at ease.'
Yoongi says, 'Listen, honey. I am fine. Do you hear me?'

Jimin does not respond.

Yoongi whispers, 'Come closer.' and manages to lift his right hand.

Jimin leans closer to Yoongi.

Yoongi holds Jimin's nape and plants a kiss on his lips.

A nurse in her 50s spots Yoongi kissing Jimin.

Jimin sniffles and hums faintly.

Yoongi lets go of Jimin and smiles a little.

[In English]
The nurse walks to Jimin and says, 'Your boyfriend will be fine. Yeah?'

[In English]
Jimin says, 'Yeah...'
She says, 'You gotta stay strong, dear.'
Yoongi says, 'He's just super worried.'
She says, 'I can understand why. He can't be okay seeing his loved one in pain.'
Jimin says, 'He's my fiancé. My father shot him. He doesn't want us to be together. He's a loathsome person.'

[In English]
She says, 'The police will take care of that evil man. Your fiancé is gonna be just fine.'
Jimin says, 'Thank you, ma'am...'
Yoongi says, 'Thank you...'
Jimin asks, 'When will he be taken out of the observation room?'

[In English]
She answers, 'He has to stay for a couple of hours.'
Jimin says, 'I see.'
She says, 'If you want to, go grab a cup of coffee, dear. We'll take care of him.'
Jimin says, 'No, I wanna stay.'
She says, 'I'll order a cup of coffee for you then.'

[In English]
Yoongi asks, 'Would you do that?'
She answers, 'Of course, dear.'
Jimin asks, 'Where should I pay?'
She answers, 'It'll be added to the bill.'
Yoongi says, 'He looks really tired, ma'am. I'd be grateful if you could order a cup of coffee for him.'
She says, 'Sure, sweetheart.'
Yoongi says, 'Thank you...'

Jimin flashes a smile at her and she walks off.

The next day.

Jimin makes Yoongi sit in the taxi and says, 'I wish we had a car.'

Yoongi says, 'You're not gonna whine right now.' and sits in the taxi. He fastens his seatbelt.

Jimin says, 'Definitely not.' and closes the door.

[In English]
Jimin walks to the other side of the car and opens the door. He gets into it and fastens his seatbelt as he says, 'Let's go.'

The taxi driver begins to drive.

Shortly, Jimin takes Yoongi into the house. Yoongi walks to the couch and sits on it. Jimin closes the door and locks it.

Jimin asks, 'Do you wanna lie down for some time, baby?'
Yoongi answers, 'I've been lying down for a long time. I wanna sit for some time.'
Jimin says, 'All right. I'll go freshen up.'
Yoongi says, 'Okay...'

Jimin steps closer to Yoongi and plants a kiss on his head. He walks off while Yoongi smiles a little.

Soon, the doorbell is heard.

Yoongi sighs and slowly stands up. He unhurriedly walks to the door and unlocks it. He opens the door and spots Officer Khan and a female officer.

[In English]
Officer Khan says, 'This is Officer Kanika Kaur. We are here to meet your boyfriend, mate.'
Yoongi says, 'He's in the bathroom... Uh... Please... Come in.'

Yoongi steps back and the officers walk in.

[In English]
Yoongi says, 'Please.' and gestures asking the officers to sit on the couch.

They sit on the couch and look around.

[In English]
Officer Kaur asks, 'Are you all right?'
Yoongi answers, 'Yeah... I just underwent surgery to remove the bullet yesterday. I might look really weird.'
Officer Kaur says, 'That's all right. Get well soon.'
Yoongi says, 'Thank you, Officer... I'll just go check on him.'
Officer Khan says, 'All right.'

Yoongi smiles a little and slowly walks off to the bedroom. He knocks on the bathroom door.

Jimin opens the door as he runs his fingers through his wet hair.

Yoongi blinks in confusion as he spots Jimin naked.

Jimin asks, 'What?'
Yoongi stutters, 'Uh... The... Uh...'
Jimin says, 'You can't fuck me with that arm. What do you want? Tell me. I gotta wash my hair.'
Yoongi says, 'No, the, uh, officers... They're here...'

Jimin asks, 'Officers?'
Yoongi answers, 'Officer Khan and Officer Kaur.'
Jimin asks, 'Why?'
Yoongi answers, 'They wanna meet you.'
Jimin says, 'All right. I'll be there. Just a minute.'

Yoongi nods and walks off while Jimin closes the door.

Yoongi closes the door of the bedroom and walks into the living room. He slowly sits in front of the officers.

[In English]
Yoongi says, 'He's taking a shower. He'll be here soon.'
Officer Khan says, 'All right.'

Yoongi smiles a little and all of a sudden, gets lost in thoughts.
