Jin returned and the first thing he did when he reached home was dial his best friend's number. He was happy to tell Yoongi that he was back. He excitedly waited for the call to be picked up by the younger but didn't expect to hear his drained voice on the call. As if the male was barely hanging in there to not give up on his life yet. That worried the older.

"Where are you, Yoongi?" Jin asked, already taking his car keys and wallet to leave. 'Home', he heard from the other side. "I'll be there in a few." Jin didn't wait for a response and immediately rushed to Yoongi's home.

Soon Jin reached the place and parked his car in front of the building. He pressed the doorbell, standing in front of the door and then he remembered that he knew the passcode. He cursed himself and entered the code. He walked straight to where he thought Yoongi would be.

He saw the male sitting at his bar counter and looking aimlessly into the glass of whisky in his hands. Jin frowned at the look on the younger's face and walked to him, settling on the chair beside Yoongi.

"Yoon," he called, shaking the dazed male gently.

Yoongi looked up, and for the first time, Jin didn't know what had made Yoongi look so lifeless. The younger's face became thin, all the color drained out of it. Eye bags and dark patches were visible. His face held so many emotions, but some were more prominent. Hurt, sadness, and regret? He couldn't tell. Before Jin could say anything, Yoongi spoke.

"I messed up Jin." His voice was hoarse from how much liquor he consumed, it was itchy. But that didn't hurt him the way his heart did. "I messed up big time." He muttered, eyes shining with wetness, small tears forming in his eyes at the sight of his best friend.

"What happened, Yoongi?"

Jin listened as Yoongi started explaining everything from how he started talking to someone who he had thought was Hoseok but ended up being someone else who he had no idea of, to the end where he confronted Hoseok only to release that it was not Hoseok who was at fault but he, himself.

By the time Yoongi ended talking, he had a tear rolled down his cheek and Yoongi rarely cried once in a light year. He not only messed up his life, but he also ended his little sister's relationship and became the reason for someone's heartbreak who never caused any harm to him.

His course of actions and irrational decisions ruined four lives and he was the reason for everything. He couldn't even get the weight off his chest. How is he going to face Amy now? How is he going to ask for Hoseok's forgiveness? Most importantly, how will he explain everything to the person he talked to for almost two months now?

He unintentionally became the reason for three heartbreaks, and his presumption of winning over Hoseok led them all to this mess. With every second passing by, the weight of his mistake only seemed to increase as it pushed him deep into the ocean of guilt and regret.

"How did you even end up calling someone else?" Jin asked after a long while of thinking.

Yoongi opened his mouth and was about to say something out of instinct when the words finally sank in. Yes, how did he even end up calling the wrong number? He saved the number Jin sent him and it was supposed to be Hoseok's from what the older informed.

He quickly took his phone and opened the text messages to check for the messages Jin sent along with Hoseok's pictures. He scanned the conversation between them as he scrolled until he stopped at the text Jin sent two months ago.

He checked the number and realized he saved the wrong number. The last number of the contact was wrong. He didn't even know how he saved the wrong number when he remembered that he just copied and pasted the number on a new contact.
