It was a simple day in Park's residency. Or you can say a perfect family time where they share each other's happiness, sadness, or burdens, giving strength to each other to go through life. All of them sitting in the living room while enjoying the day off.
"Jimin, I feel like you need to fill us in on something that you might be missing to bring up. Don't you think?" Mr. Park casually asked settling back into the couch beside his wife.
Jimin caught up with what his father was referring to, he felt the heat rush to his cheeks on being caught. Of course, his father would notice. How could he not when lately his son was more interested in his phone than before and seemed to be shining with this certain glow all the time?
"Oh yes, he does." Taehyung snickered, effortlessly dodging the cushion thrown in his way by his best friend. Jimin had to stop the urge to jump at his best friend but he knew Taehyung was right. He should tell his parents about Yoongi. He was planning to but got off track.
"So, who is this person, baby?" His mother asked curious to know more about this someone who stole her son's attention. It was a miracle to say that Jimin actually had found someone with the stubborn thoughts he decided to follow.
His parents were always worried about their only son being alone. They found the love of their lives and made it into this beautiful family. They wanted the same happiness for their only son. But they couldn't argue with him when Jimin was hell-bent on finding the perfect partner who loved him for his heart and not everything that revolved around him.
And looks like he finally found that perfect person.
"Um, you guys already know who it is." Jimin trailed off, a little nervous to mention it was a guy. He knew his parents were the best people with good hearts and open minds about these things. But he still didn't know if they would react the same way about their only heir.
"We do?" Both the parks looked at each other, excited, before they turned to their son to reveal the name. "Who is it, son?" His father asked, impatient.
Jimin looked between his two best friends and his parents. Taehyung and Jungkook looked at him with an ensuring smile that seemed to relax his nerves a bit. They seemed to understand Jimin's thoughts even though he didn't voice them out.
"It's Yoongi, Min Investments CEO. The one who invested in Bangtan group." Jimin finally said, waiting for any kind of rejection as he closed his eyes. All he heard was his mother squeal and he quickly opened his eyes.
"Oh, the charming young man? I have seen him in meetings a few times. He is quite a catch." She giggled and Jimin smiled at her enthusiasm. His father gave a bright smile as he nodded.
"He is a good kid. I saw the way he deals with his business, absolute perfectionist." His father approved and Jimin couldn't help but rush to them and squeeze both his parents in a big hug.
"Thank you, mom. Thank you, Dad." He said, small tears forming in his eyes. He could only scold himself for even doubting his parents. Of course, they would support him no matter what. He couldn't thank his life enough for giving him such amazing parents.
"I know my son always makes the right decisions and we both respect always." His mother said. Patting his hair softly before leaning back and kissing his forehead.
"So, when are we meeting our son-in-law?" His father asked as Jimin settled between his parents on the couch. Jimin choked on his saliva as he looked at his father with wide eyes.
"Dad! Don't say that." He squeaked, a blush forming on his cheeks. He tried hiding his face in his hands when they all started laughing at him. He knew their teasing would never end and it didn't until he started whining about it.
