Yoongi was dressed in light brown and beige shades of a blazer, trousers, necklace, and shoes, styled with a silk shirt, one of the outfits that was designed by his team for the event.Yoongi put on a gentle smile as he shook hands with the men who walked in. He was at the entrance of the banquet hall, greeting the important guests in person as Jin helped with the names of the businessmen who arrived.
He had never felt so exhausted, but this is all for the greater good, he thought, continuing to smile as if he was delighted to meet them. In reality, he didn't even want to look at their faces. They were a bunch of wannabes who waited for an opportunity to get in with Yoongi's company. He knew them well.
Just then a white Rolls Royce Ghost stopped in front of the venue and took everybody's attention. A couple got out of the car with big smiles, the man holding his wife's hand gently as he led them towards Yoongi who looked just as happy.
"Mom, Dad! You guys are here!" Yoongi walked up to them, pulling them into a hug.
They went on a trip a few days ago and thought they wouldn't be able to attend his event since they still had some unfinished business but seeing them here made him forget all the stress. Even though he didn't show it often, he still loved his parents and missed them every day. He was glad they could make it.
"Can't miss my boy's grand event now, can we?" Min Daesung, Yoongi's father smiled patting Yoongi's shoulder resulting in a gummy smile spread across his face before it was replaced by a small frown.
"But I thought you had an important meeting this evening, what happened to it? Did you cancel it?" He asked, still unable to believe they were actually here.
"Oh, we didn't have to attend the meeting. It got canceled." Daesung shrugged.
"What? Why?" Yoongi was confused.
"The partner we went to meet had an emergency and canceled the meeting. We talked in a video conference, and he said he would agree. He also said that we can talk about the terms of the deal in detail when he comes to Seoul next week." Min Seoyun, his mother explained.
"That's a great news, mom! Thank you!" Yoongi hugged her once again.
"Ahem, there's my part of hard work in it too." Daesung pointed out, looking between the mother and son duo. Yoongi rolled his eyes playfully but thanked his dad nonetheless.
"Come on, let's get inside. It's almost time." Yoongi said, walking into the venue.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Min. It's good to see you again." Jin bowed as they approached him, smiling politely.
"Jinnie, how often did I say not to use formalities?" Seoyun scolded the male as she pulled him into a hug. Jin gladly hugged her with a bright smile on his face.
"Don't bother telling him, Mom. You know he won't listen to you when he's on the working hours." Yoongi stated the obvious, shrugging his shoulder.
"Still, it feels like we are distant when Jin doesn't call us eomma and appa as usual," Seoyun complained.
"Just say that you feel old when he addresses you as Mrs. Min." Daesung teased his wife who pouted. Yoongi rolled his eyes at the couple as Jin chuckled, finding it funny how the couple still bickered as if they were newlyweds.
"Alright, don't expose me like that. Now, let's go it's time. Everyone's waiting." His mother ushered them to move to the front where seats were arranged by the stage for special guests and his family.
"There's someone I'm waiting for. Please wait for a bit more." Yoongi stopped them as he looked at the entrance to check if the person had arrived.
Yoongi's parents looked at each other before they looked at Jin who simply shrugged. Then they looked at Yoongi whose eyes were fixated on the entrance as he nervously tapped his feet. Yoongi wanted to wait until his special guest arrived but the problem is he didn't know if the guest would come or not.
