She lay her head on his shoulder, sighing in contentment as he started stroking her hair gently. They were both staring at the sunset from the rooftop of his apartment building. He kissed the crown of her head and watched as a small smile appeared on her lips, which mirrored his face. But he could see that something was off and decided to ask what had been bothering her.
"What's wrong, Amy?" Hoseok finally asked after observing that constant frown of worry on her face since morning.
She sighed again, sitting up as she turned towards him that little smile no longer visible as it was replaced with a worry. Hoseok extended his hand, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear before he caressed her cheek, silently encouraging her to speak. She closed her eyes, leaned into his palm, and smiled slightly.
"It's about, Yoongi." She signed after a moment and Hoseok frowned. "I know you still don't feel good about him and I'm sorry, but he is still my brother, Hobi. I'm worried for him."
Hoseok took a deep breath trying not to get annoyed at the mention of his boss. He and Amy suffered enough because of him and Hoseok was still trying to forget how they almost broke up because of the mistake Yoongi made. He still couldn't bring himself to forget about it and forgive the older.
Sure, Yoongi was the reason they were together again but if not for him, they wouldn't have ended things in the first place either. He didn't even want him near them again but the only reason was Yoongi talked to Amy and stopped her from leaving the country. Jin explained the reason for the misunderstanding and this time Hoseok believed because he had huge respect for Seokjin and he knew the male wouldn't lie to him.
Even though he wanted Amy to stop talking to Yoongi and keep her distance from him, he knew he had no right to stop her from doing what she wanted and he knew how important Yoongi is as a brother in her life. So, he promised her that he would try to forgive Yoongi and get along with him which again was hard considering what he did. But he will try, just for Amy.
"What happened to him?" He asked despite the irritation building up. He didn't want Amy to worry.
"He is not the same. He won't talk to me like he used to before. I know he was feeling guilty now and might need some time to get back to normal but I couldn't just watch him suffer alone like this. I know how much he loved you." She signed.
"He didn't love me, Amy. He loved the person he talked to on the phone for two months." Hoseok quickly corrected and saw Amy smiling at him.
She pinched the bridge of his nose, watching him scrunch it. He raised an eyebrow when she chuckled shaking her head.
"My smart, Hobi." Her hand moments stopped when he playfully rolled his eyes and continued making signs in the air. "We know that but he was an idiot to not understand. He thinks that he fell in love with you when in fact, he loved the person behind the phone."
"He is so dumb." Amy hit his arm, glaring at him. "What? Tell me it's not true. I mean, how did he even become a CEO when he can't even use his brain properly on something as simple as this." He threw his hands in the air, making dramatic moments.
"Relationships are never easy, Hobi. It was the first time he felt something for someone and I am sure he was confused with everything. He never had an interest in these kinds of things before and trust me he never went on a single date even though he is thirty-one years old. Imagine how lost he must be feeling now." She was worried and Hoseok didn't like it.
"I understand, Amy. But what will you do when he is not even ready to talk to you?" He asked and both stared at each other, thinking deeply. "Maybe talk to Seokjin-ssi and ask his help," Hoseok suggested after a few seconds.
