Chapter 14

CHAPTER 14

Leo struck the blank monitor trying to reconnect the signal. He slammed his hands against the keyboard to no avail.

"No no no come on" Leo fell back into his seat letting out a frustrated sigh. Adam, Bree, and Chase probably walked into a trap because he waited too long to tell them about Marcus. Leo turned seeing Eddy reform on his tablet.

"AHHH I FEEL SO VIOLATED THAT STUPID BOYFRIEND OF YOURS MESSED WITH MY DELICATE TECH" Eddy whined, Leo jumped up running to the screen.

"Eddy I'm glad you're okay Big D, Adam, Bree and Chase are in trouble. I need to go now" Leo explained the situation.

"Well, what are you gonna do? With your skinny little arms and frail body?" Eddy asked, Leo glared at him.

"I don't care if I get hurt I have to do something" Leo began walking towards the exits, he stopped hearing a humming in a wall as it began to part and reveal a room filled with weapons, armor, and devices, he turned around him and Eddy sharing a smile for a moment.

"Thank you" Leo nodded racing towards the armory.

DOUGLAS' LAB

Adam, Bree, and Chase crept through the dark space, they stayed close to each other to not get separated or captured. The lights shined all of a sudden blinding the three. As their vision adjusted they saw their father in a cage.

"MR DAVENPORT!" Chase called out, the three raced towards the cell. Adam quickly opened the door

"STOP IT'S A TRAP!" Davenport warned, suddenly they were shoved inside the cell before it locked.

"What the hell" Adam turned to look at the spiky-haired man.

"Hiyah kids" Douglas smirked.

"Let us go" Chase raised his fingers to his temples. Douglas's smile never faded, Adam gripped the bars attempting to pull them apart to no avail. 

"It's no, these cells are blocking the signal to your Bionic chips" Davenport informed them. Bree glared at Douglas, she walked towards him placing a hand on the cell.

"Why are you doing this? WHO ARE YOU!" She shouted at him. Douglas glanced at Donald, a tired sigh escaping his mouth.

"You really erased me from all of your lives huh Donnie?" Douglas inquired. Donald glanced at Douglas before looking at his children who were giving him confused looks.

"What is he talking about?" Chase asked Donald.

"What am I talking about, Adam, Bree, Chase I'm your father SURPRISE" Douglas announced. The three looked at Douglas wide-eyed.

"What are you talking about? He's our father" Adam pointed to Donald.

"My brother is your kidnapper, he stole you from me when you were just little infants but he missed one" Douglas chuckled manically.

"Marcus" Bree whispered. 

"I didn't kidnap them I liberated them, they're children Douglas not tools for your Bionic superwar" Donald roared.

"They've never been regular children you know that, why else lock them up in a basement for over a decade" Douglas sneered.

"To save them from you" Donald called out.

"Doesn't matter, 'cause now they're under my control" Douglas ran over to his console pressing a button on it. Adam, Bree, and Chase flinched at the action prepared for whatever comes next. Only for nothing to happen at all, Donald crossed his arms with a smug look on his face.

"Yeah, sorry little brother I blocked your stupid little triton app" Donald teased.

"YOU ARE SUCH A PAIN! NO MATTER I'll hack your stupid firewall" Douglas stormed off.

"Mr Davenport, what the heck is going on here?" Bree asked. Donald took a deep breath before letting out a sigh.

"Okay yeah Douglas indeed created you three he implanted you all with his Bionic first one to enhance a person's physical strength tremendously" Donald pointed to Adam. 

"Than speed and agility," Donald pointed to Bree.

"Then he perfected a chip to increase a person's natural intellect" He points to Chase.

"My brother loves what his creations can do for him, he was going to create a Bionic army to overthrow humanity you were all little kids I couldn't let him do that to you so I took you and escaped I thought Marcus perished or else I would have gotten him too. When I heard my brother died in the volcano I was relieved because I finally thought we'd be free from the madness but now I know we were never safe" He glared at Douglas' back.

"This is a lot to process even for me" Chase shook his head.

"Okay family revelations aside we have to find a way to get out of here" Bree looked at the bars of the cage they were in.

OUTSIDE

Marcus laid on the ground unconscious, he groaned hearing heavy footsteps causing him to stir. He opened his eyes quickly closing them back seeing the bright sun.

"Ugh" He sat up but got hit in the chest by something extremely heavy. 

"WHY!" He called out in pained frustration. Marcus sees an 8-foot-tall mech suit towering over him.

"WHERE IS MY FAMILY!" Leo's voice emitted from within the suit.

"Leo?" Marcus asked, he stood up and reached out to his lover only for him to be thrown across the field. His body hit the ground hard enough to unearth some dirt.

"LEO!" Marcus exclaimed.

"YOU KIDNAPPED MY DAD!, LURED MY SIBLINGS INTO A TRAP I SHOULD HAVE NEVER TRUSTED YOU" Leo held up the mech suit's hand cables shot from a compartment on its wrist. Marcus summoned a forcefield to block the assault.

"STOP it I'm on your side" Marcus tried to reason with Leo.

"NO MORE LIES!" Leo punched his shield. Marcus grunted struggling to hold up the shield with the force of each hit.

"Leo PLEASE!" Marcus begged while Leo continuously struck his shield.
