Hayes's POV

We were watching a movie and Riley would not stop bugging me to come closer to her. I didn't know what she wanted, and I didn't know if I wanted to know. But she kept crying for me to come closer, so I finally gave in and sat right beside her. She scooted up closer to me and leaned in until our lips met.

It was soft and delicate, gentle to the touch. We made out softly and sweetly for a solid 5 minutes when I heard Mikayla burst through the front door. I scurried back to the other end of the couch and sat there watching the TV screen right when she walked in.

"Hey guys. What's up?" She asked.

"Not much. Just decided to put a movie in while we were waiting for you. How was yesterday?" Riley babbled.

"Don't even get me started." She groaned.

"Do this, do that! If you wanna hang out with your friends all summer you can do a day or two of chores!" Mikayla imitated her mother.

"Funny. I only remember hearing your mom yell at you when you're lazy. Oh wait. That's all the time!" Riley joked.

"Haha very funny." Mikayla glared at Riley jokingly. "So what's the plan for today?" She asked.

"Well, since it's raining . . . Hmmm . . . Oh my gosh! Lets build a fort!" Riley's faced glowed with excitement.

"What are you, five?" I asked.

"You bet your ass she is." Mikayla answered.

"There's a saying Hayes, act your shoe size, not your age." Riley explained.

"I'm pretty sure it's the other way around." I smirked.

"Not in my mind." She replied. I laughed and shook my head. "Come on, Hayes! Channel your inner child! You're a Gemini! Gemini's are supposed to be super immature!" Riley urged.

"Okay! Lets go make a fort!" I screamed. Riley and Mikayla laughed, then got to work.

"This is going to be the best fort, in the history of forts." Riley announced. It was pretty big and roomy. We used a lot of different things to make it stand up. "Okay, so, tonight, we stay in this fort! But first, we have to come up with a name." Riley instructed.

"Like what?" Mikayla asked.

"I don't know." She shrugged. "Oh! I got it!" Riley cried a minute later. "Riley." She looked up and used a few hand gestures.

"How about Fort Swag?" Mikayla suggested.

"Or H.M.R.?" I asked.

"What does that stand for?" Mikayla asked.

"It's the first letters of our names isn't it?" Riley questioned.

"Yup." I replied.

"I like it. What about you Mik?" Riley asked her.

"I still think we should go with Fort Swag, but sure." She agreed.

"Alright, first thing first, now that we are known as H.M.R. , thanks to one of our lovely crew members Mr. Hayes Grier, we start getting down to business." Riley stood and and walked back and forth. "Ms. Mikayla Fletchings." She said. "You are in charge of who comes into this fort and who leaves." Riley demanded.

"Okay." She replied.

"Mr. Hayes Grier, you are in charge of making sure that H.M.R. won't collapse. And me, I'm in charge of of making sure you guys do your jobs. Any questions?" Riley finished.

"Uh, yeah. How come you get the easiest job?" Mikayla complained.

"Because I built the fort." Riley answered with some sass.
