- Let's be so for real right now, Elliot definitely has a bajillion step skin care routine, as well as an even longer hair care routine. I think that he cares a lot for his appearance, and he puts a lot of effort into looking his best around you. He'll splurge on the best products, be the type of guy to oil his hair and put on hair masks. He'd use one of those fancy knives for shaving, no cheap plastic razor around these parts. And don't think for a second that he'd care less once you two are married, he's roping you into it, sharing his skin care and taking care of your hair. You two would probably make a day out of it, your self care day, where you two would sit and watch movies with face masks on and glasses of wine.
- Bro is 110% loyal to you, no doubt he is the kind of guy that once he first sees you around Pelican Town he is whipped. In his eyes, you're his everything, his partner, his lover, his muse. He'll make sure to tell you everything that happens during his book tours, down to the most mundane details, making sure you don't even consider questioning what he had been up to or if he had been with anyone.
- He is the most gentlemanly gentleman to ever gentleman. I'm talking opening doors, carrying you over puddles so your feet don't get wet, pulling out your chair, putting his hand over the corner of the table so you don't hit your head, walking on the sidewalk facing the road to protect you, this man is the definition of thoughtfulness. Even if you tell him it's not necessary, he will take it as the biggest insult to man kind and insist that it is the bare minimum for his precious partner.
- He definitely listens to those old, romantic songs. And he definitely has an old record player somewhere in his cabin that he refuses to throw out. He'd listen to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, and he'd definitely serenade you with Fly Me To The Moon once the two of you are married. You'd both be swaying slowly in the kitchen late at night, wearing comfortable pajamas and glasses of wine sitting on the kitchen counter. The song would be playing on that same record player, and Elliot would be singing along quietly into your ear, pressing gentle kisses to the side of your neck and shoulder in between verses.
- Although I know words of affirmation would definitely be his main love language, consider acts of service for a moment. He would definitely be willing to do anything for you to make you happy and comfortable, especially after a long day of working in the farm. You're hungry? He'll make dinner. You're tired? He'll make you tea and light an aromatic candle in your room. You're sore? He's suddenly a professional masseuse and he'll run you a bubble bath with rose petals and all that shit. I think that doing things for you would make him really satisfied and proud of himself, feeling that your comfort and joy bring him comfort and joy. I feel like one of his favorite things to do would be to brush your hair after a shower, massaging your scalp and maybe even oiling your hair. Since he has such long hair to take care of, I think he'd know and love to take care of your hair.
- I think it's obvious to say that bro is a romantic. Once you two start dating, you're never planning a date ever again. He's the kind of guy to leave an outfit for you on top of your bed with a note saying to be ready by a certain time so he can pick you up. Love letters when he's on his book tours, romantic walks on the beach, picnics, fancy dinner dates once his writing career takes off, he'll spoil you any day of the week. He'd even play the piano for you, cook you a four course meal and run you a nice bath. Maybe if he's feeling romantical he'll wait for you at home with two glasses of wine and candles, only wearing one of those fluffy robes. 😭
- I feel like Elliot isn't the type of guy to get really jealous or possessive, he's confident in your relationship enough to not ask questions or doubt his wonderful partner. Even when someone in public hits on you, he knows that you can handle yourself just fine. However, if that person is becoming overbearing and your clearly expressing your discomfort, he'd walk up behind you and place his hand on your shoulder or around your waist, putting on a charming smile and saying, "is there a problem?" He'd definitely reprimand the person if they were going too far.
- I feel like when it comes to his writing, he's constantly checking in with you, to proofread, to critique or sometimes he's just looking for some praise. He asks for your opinion on certain scenes, or some ideas for potential storylines when he's not feeling inspired. (Probably asks to recreate certain scenes to make sure his writing is "accurate")
- Nicknames? All of them. I feel like "darling" and "dear" would be his favorites. Followed closely by "sweetheart" and "honey." He'd also probably call you his "dove" or his "muse" when he's feeling poetic and sappy.
- My poor baby probably tries to help around the farm but he's clueless. He's definitely out of his element when he insists on helping you out, leading to him hunched over in the fields, wondering how the hell you can spend so many hours watering crops in the sun everyday. Even when it comes to the animals, he tries his best, but after the chickens ganged up on him one time for taking their eggs, he's been terrified to set foot back into the chicken coop. You understand, pressing a kiss to his forehead and give him the job of watering your houseplants instead.
