Chapter Two

Tris POV

I walk towards the door, not letting blue-eyes over there say another word. I open it and the hallway is full of people screaming and laughing and kissing. Oh my god, how am I going to fit in? This people all know eachother. I walk towards the end of the hallway but in the middle of the hallway a tall, but not as tall as blue-eyes, guy stops me. He grins. "Hey look everyone, a stiff!" He yells and everyone starts laughing. I give him a glare and just keep walking. I can feel myself turning red.

I finally find the principal's office and ask for the list of my classes.

1- AP Algebra 1
2- Literature
3- Social Studies
4- Lunch
5- Gym
6- Arts
7- Advanced Chemistry

"Thanks, ma'am." I say and walk away. I feel someone grip my arm. I look and it's this dark-skinned girl with chiseled cheekbones, wide eyes and, short brown hair, pretty.

"I'm Christina," she says. I nod still not knowing why she is gripping my hand. "Look, don't listen to Peter, he is an asshole, okay? He just likes making people's life shit." She says and I assume Peter is the guy that called me a stiff.

"Thanks, I'm Beatrice, nice to meet you." By instinct I pull my hand out to shake hands but quickly notice she doesn't understand so I cover and scratch the back of my neck.

"You are new right? If you want you can sit by with me and my friends on Lunch if you'd like." I can't believe this! I have friends already. I'm hated by two but whatever. That blue-eyed guy, I wonder what was his name. Christina snaps her fingers. "Hello Tris, you there?"

"Oh yeah, yeah I'm new. I'd love to have lunch with you and your friends. Wait... Did you call me Tris?" I ask.

"Yeah, it sounds better." she says. "Hey! Let's introduce you to our group." We both walk down a hall, and another hall. There is a door and it leads to a little garden. We walk and there's a little gazebo with six people sitting on the floor and a guy standing up and a girl leaning on the pole that holds up the gazebo. When I look closely, the guy standing up is the blue-eyed guy. He stares at me for a second and looks to the circle of people on the floor.

"Hey guys! This is Tris, she's new." Christina says."That's Uriah, Lynn, Marlene, Zeke, Four, Shauna, Will and Al." She informs me while pointing at each one. Uriah makes a pouty face. "NO POINTING!" he yells. I start to laugh and everyone else does too.

"What classes do you guys have?" I ask and they all give me they're papers except Four. Christina walks over to him.

"Do you really have to be so rude with this chick? She asked you something." He gives Christina the paper and hands it to me.

I have a few classes with some of them, but I have all with Four. God, that's terrible, that dude thinks he is the best. "Well, Four," I say and chuckle. "It seems like trying to not have contact with me didn't work for ya. You have all your classes with me." I say and give him the paper that informs his classes while grinning. He looks suprised and then he just looks angry but then, he smiles. I wonder what made him smile. I give everyone they're papers and me and Christina walk together to Algebra 1 but, stop to introduce me to a few other people.

When we get to the classroom, only two chairs are empty. One is behind Four and the other one is right next to him. Christina quickly goes next to him and I have no choice but to sit behind him, which isn't fair because he is alot taller than me. I sit and put my chin on my hand. He looks back at me and smiles. "Guess it ain't working for ya either, Tris." He says and I let out a chuckle.
