"Mom.." Niki mumbled. "You were supposed to be home 20 minutes ago and I see you here with that same trouble making girl? Car. Now." Mrs. Nishumra said. "But mom-" "Car." Mrs. Nishumra said sternly. Niki looked at Sooyun sadly before walking to the car. Mrs. Nishumra glared at her before leaving as well.

Niki sat in the backseat and pulled out his phone, texting Sooyun immediately. When Mrs. Nishumra got in the car, he immediately put his phone away. "Riki, I'm glad you're making friends. But if they're going to cause you to break curfew and study less... I don't want that for you. I registered you for a school in Busan and-" "What?!" Niki asked, his eyes widening at the sudden news.

"When we moved to Gyeongsan-si, I thought it would help you improve on the classes you aren't doing well in-" "I'm passing all of my classes mom. And if anything Sooyun has been helping me-" "I don't want to hear it, Riki." "Why do you hate me being happy so much?!" Niki groaned, putting on his hood and burying his face in his knees. "It's not like that-" "Leave me alone." Niki mumbled.

November 5th, 2020

"Did you guys hear that Niki was moving?" Sunoo asked. "What?! No." Jungwon replied. "How did you find that out?" Danielle asked. "I overheard his mom talking to the teachers in the office." Sunoo replied. "So he's really moving..." Jungwon frowned. Danielle frowned as well, "Does Sooyun know?" "I'm sure she was the first to know." Sunoo said.

"Hi guys!" Sooyun smiled, running up to them. She looked at their expressions and tilted her head. "How are you so happy?" Danielle asked. "What do you mean?" Sooyun asked. "I thought you would be sad, considering Niki is moving to Busan." Sunoo said. Sooyun dropped her juice, "He's what..?"

"Oh she didn't know." Jungwon mumbled. "We thought he'd tell you first." Danielle said. "So he told you guys before me?" Sooyun asked. "It's not like that-" Jungwon started. Sooyun handed Danielle her things and ran back into the school.

She ran down the hallways and looked in every classroom. She checked the office and saw Niki talking to a teacher. She stood outside of the office and waited.

"I don't want to move." Niki said. "We don't want you to move either, Niki. I mean your grades are outstanding, 3rd in your class. But unfortunately, there's nothing we can do." Mr. Lee said. "There's no way you could transfer me back?" Niki asked. "Without your moms consent... no." Mr. Lee replied

Niki sighed and nodded before waking out, immediately being greeted with a sad Sooyun. "Sooyun..." Niki mumbled. "Are you really moving?" She asked, as tears formed in her eyes. "I'm sorry." Niki said softly. "Why was I the last to know..?" Sooyun asked, as tears streamed down her face.

"You're the first one I've told." Niki assured, wiping her face. "But our other friends know." Sooyun sniffled. "They must've figured it out themselves." Niki said, "You were going to be the first to know." Sooyun sniffled and hugged him.

"I don't want you to go." She cried. Niki felt tears form in his eyes, "I..." Niki hugged back and cleared his throat. "I'll come back..." he said softly.

'I'll come back for you, Sooyun' He thought.
