"Sooyun." Niki said. "Hm?" Sooyun hummed, looking at him. "You know you're like... my best friend right?" He asked. "I am?" Sooyun asked. Niki nodded, "Are you allowed to have sleepovers?"

Sooyun was taken aback, "do you wanna have a sleepover?" Niki nodded. "Why so suddenly?" Sooyun asked. "No reason." Niki replied. Sooyun nodded, "I'll ask my parents. I'm sure they won't mind." Niki nodded.

"What do you want to do during our sleepover?" Sooyun asked. "Anything but study." Niki chuckled. Sooyun chuckled as well. "I want to do kid stuff. What do you enjoy?" Niki asked, resting his cheek on his palm. "We can play video games." Sooyun suggested.

Niki nodded, "what else?" "And watch scary movies! Halloween is coming up! Are you going trick or treating this year?" Sooyun asked. Niki shook his head. "You are now." Sooyun said. Niki smiled and nodded. "I'll text my parents right now." Sooyun said. Niki nodded.

Sooyun texted her parents and looked at Niki. "Did your mom agree?" She asked. Niki scratched the back of his ear and nodded. Sooyun raised an eyebrow but nodded, "Okay..."

"They said sure." Sooyun smiled. Niki smiled as well, "okay." "Now beware, even if you aren't hungry, my parents will make you eat. We're having pizza tonight." Sooyun said. Niki nodded.

"Hey Jungwon." Danielle said, sitting across from him. "What's up?" Jungwon asked, looking up from his plate. "I have a question." Danielle said. Jungwon sat up, "Ask away." "Do you think I should straighten my hair?" She asked. "Why would you want too? Your curly hair is pretty and unique." Jungwon said.

"Youngjae likes girls with straight hair and a slim face right? I have neither of those. He thinks I'm adorable, not pretty." Danielle said. "You don't have to change yourself from some guy." Jungwon said.

"Sometimes change is for the best." Danielle argued. Jungwon sighed. "Dani, if Youngjae doesn't like you as more than a friend now, what do you think straightening your hair and losing baby fat will do?" He asked. "It's a risk I have to take." Danielle said. "You don't have to do anything. You're already pretty. We're 14 you're going to grow over time and so is he. Don't stress so much." Jungwon said.

Danielle looked at him, "You think I'm pretty?" "Who wouldn't think you're pretty. Everything about you is already perfect, that's why you have the features that you do. I hate how much you discredit yourself because so many people wished they looked like you." Jungwon said.

Danielle stared at him silently as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong?" Jungwon asked. "You're the first person besides my sister and parents that's called me pretty." Danielle said, covering her face. "That's nothing to be sad over." Jungwon said. "I'm not sad idiot." Danielle said, wiping her face.

"Then-" "They're grateful tears." Danielle said. Jungwon smiled a bit.

— Later that day: 6:02pm

Sooyun jumped up excitedly as she heard the doorbell ring. "Is that him?" Her mother asked. Sooyun nodded. "Are you sure he's your friend?" Her father asked for the 100th time. "Yes I'm sure Pa." Sooyun giggled, running to the door.

She opened the door and smiled immediately. Niki smiled as well, "Hi Sooyun." "Kiki! Come in." Sooyun said, stepping out of his way. Niki nodded and walked in. "Give me your stuff I'll take it to my room." Sooyun said. "Are you sure?" Niki asked. Sooyun nodded, "You can sit with my parents."
