Author's POV:
Vikram sat at the corner of the bar, surrounded by the laughter of his old friends. But his mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of his son, Aarav.
He couldn't shake off the disappointment and frustration of their recent heated exchange.
"Why couldn't Aarav understand the ruthless nature of the world, the way I did? People were mere tools to be utilized and discarded when no longer useful. It was a simple concept, yet my son seemed incapable of grasping it."
Suddenly, his phone buzzed, bringing him back to the present. With a cold, haunted tone, Vikram answered the call.
"Speak. What's the matter?"
His assistant's voice trembled on the other end. "Sir, Mr. Alex has cancelled the meeting. He's interested in another company."Vikram's blood boiled at the news. "What the hell! That bastard rejected our proposal?" With a swift motion, he ended the call and immediately dialed Aarav's number.
"You can't even do one thing?" Vikram barked into the phone. "Listen, Aarav, this deal is crucial for my own interests. I need it now! Do anything necessary; I don't give a damn!"
Aarav's expression remained impassive, but his voice dripped with venom. "Oh, Father, you always underestimate me, don't you?
Vikram's heart skipped a beat at Aarav's cryptic words..."Enough of your nonsense, Aarav! Just get the job done."
Aarav's voice was low, but it carried a dangerous edge. "Watch your words, Father. You may be the king of this kingdom, but every empire falls eventually. And when yours does, I'll be there to pick up the pieces." he replied before ending the call.
After hanging up the call aarav stretched his neck to one side, the movement so sharp it seemed almost inhuman. His head tilted at an unnatural angle, his gaze fixed on some invisible point in the distance...
"Oh god," he whispered, his voice barely more than a breath. "Miss Sana, it appears you've been playing a far more dangerous game than any of us realized."
"You're not just a player," he continued, his tone low and haunting. "You're the architect of our downfall."Sana's POV:
As I was leaving the office, I had no inkling of the darkness that awaited me in the parking lot. Opening the gate of my car, I felt a tight grip on my arm, pulling me back and pressing me against the car.
Panic surged through me as I struggled against the unseen assailant, but his grip only tightened, rendering me immobile.
"What the hell, who are y..." My words were cut short by a chilling "shhhhh" that silenced me instantly. My heart raced as I recognized the voice..."Aarav" i whispered...What was he thinking? What was he doing?
